Hard to find starting point

Travelers should be made more aware that tour is not with Viator but with another tour operator. Went to the correct address and asked a Rep there if this was the Viator tour and was told no and told to look elsewhere only to go back to the same address and asked other people standing there if this was the Viator tour and they said yes and then the same woman told me later that yes my name was on her list. She was rude. Almost missed the starting of the tour although I arrived 15 minutes early. Guide inside cathedral was fantastic,

The lady slime so fast that even I (British) couldn't understand. She rushed through everything. No interaction with the group like she was reciting a script. My wife, fluent English got about half. Beside me a french lady got none. She asked the guide to slow down to no effect

I had an appointment to go up to the Cathedral rooftop. All I wanted was the Dome rooftop, and I paid over $120 just for that. My appointment was at 2:30. I go to the cupola doorway at 2:15 and wait in line. When it’s my turn, the door attendant says, “oh this isn’t a ticket. This is a voucher to get a ticket. This is for a tour. You need to find a tour guide to redeem this voucher.” There’s no indication that it’s for a walking tour. All it says is, “Duomo with optional rooftop access.” So I run to where the tour guides are. My “tour” is with City Wonders. The pdf said there would be a sign that said “City Wonders.” I’m there by 2:28; there’s three other tours going - none of them are City Wonders. None of them know anything about City Wonders or my voucher. I feel like I’ve been scammed. And of course, “no refunds.” They say “free cancellation” all over the website, but only if you cancel the day before your appointment.

We do not sell only tours to the Dome rooftop, but some of them also include it. Very informative tour of the Duomo!

This was a pretty quick tour, but it was worth it to skip the line to enter the Duomo and we learned a lot about this history of the cathedral. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and then got free admission to the museum of the ambulance service of Venice (which I didn't know about!). The ticket didn't include access to any other parts of the Duomo complex, so if you're looking for that, this might not be the best tour.

Worth the effort

Quite the experience! We had great assistance from the tour guides from making sure we were in the right place to sending us on our ascent to the top of the dome. It was well worth the climb of 400+ steps but I would caution that it’s not an easy climb and the way down isn’t much better! We also have the opportunity to see the other sights for three days which is nice to break the tours up.

honestly, I don’t really think my opinion counts. It just wasn’t anything that I thought was spectacular. I did see a church in Granada Spain that blew my socks off. This one came nowhere near it.

Wonderful experience of Santa Maria del Fiore and more

Short 30 minute tour of inside of Duomo. Skip the line access was great since the regular line wrapped around the cathedral. Ticket included dome climb, bel tower, opera, archeological site downstairs, and baptistery. Don’t miss opera museum. Many treasures inside in closing the actual baptistery doors—the ones in the baptistry are now replica. Our tickets were good for 3 days after tour and climb (those had to be done on day of ticket). No restrooms inside the cathedral.

We enjoyed climbing the Duomo and having skip the line access. The cost was quite high though for what it was. Also it seemed like too many intermediaries were a part of the situation which created confusion in the meeting spot. Cityscape Tours met us but Viator wad involved in our ticket purchases. The Viator confirmation email had an incorrect meeting spot in the link which created some scrambling. I feel like we really overpaid for the experience at $400Euro for four people. Our time with the guide was good but brief. All in all the experience was good and we enjoyed the activity. The price was juat too high for what it entailed.

Disappointment with the guide and access

The only positives were skipping the long lines and enjoying the beauty of the cathedral. Our tour guide did not provide a whole lot of detail or interesting facts about the history or artists. One person who was touring provided us with more information than the guide. There was no access to below the Duomo or the museum. Would recommend booking another tour to include that.
