Not really worth the upcharge

Kathleen_C, Nov 2025
Although it was nice to have a spacious area to lounge as well as a robe, towel and flip flops, it seems passes to the Palm House were oversold because there were not enough seats when we went to enjoy our cocktail around 1:30 pm. There were no shower facilities in the Palm House which would have been nice, and we were totally confused about where to leave our towels/robes at the end of the day, and chastised for bringing them back to the Palm House after visiting every floor looking for bins which we never found. The baths were amazing albeit a bit crowded as we visited on a Saturday.

Overpriced, dirty and depressing

Alison_L, Nov 2025
We booked the psalm experience full day with all thermal pools. The baths are very grimey and in need of repair. The staff were solemn and quite rude ( all interactions we saw) and the pictures of the psalm area are nothing like the area. There are no hammocks and it was extremely noisy whilst we were there, not relaxing at all and we left after just half an hour from the psalm area. All interactions all save your money and book a better experience.

Like spending a day in the Ganges

The Palm room upstairs is okay but the baths area itself is poorly maintained. Miserable staff downstairs, cram packed and unable to move.

Not worth it.

Joanne_M, Sep 2025
To book this experience direct with the spa would have cost 75 euros each. For two people we paid about $100 Cdn (32 Euros more per person). I feel very ripped off. Especially when it was not a private cabin with washroom it was a private changing stall. We also just felt the place was dirty and extremely crowded and it’s only Monday at 10am. Not worth it. If you really want to go for the experience then out hare tickets directly. And be sure you get a private cabin with washroom if that’s what you want. It’s confusing.

Rainy day at the spa

Graham_S, Mar 2025
Expensive obviously, but probably worth it. The palm room was a quiet oasis away from the general madness. Whether the one cocktail and one bowl of fruit was good value is debatable, but it certainly helped to have towel, robe and flip flops provided. The spa was great even though part of the outdoor area was closed for repairs. All the inside pools etc were open and were great fun. One thing to remember is that it is really slippery on some surfaces so take care. But otherwise a great way spend a day.

Brilliant day out

Mike_D, Feb 2025
A brilliant day out. Thermal baths and spa. So relaxing. Enjoyed every minute. Would certainly go again.

Brilliant time but don’t forget flip flops!

Tina_N, Nov 2024
The spa was amazing, remember to take flip flops as they are compulsory and expensive in the shop. I had problems with the Viator voucher and had to also produce confirmation emails. It took phone calls and 20 mins to be sorted out by staff, who were fantastic. So friendly and amazingly helpful. Especially a staff member with long hair and glasses (unfortunately did not get name) who sorted the problem out and kindly showed us the facilities and where everything was. Would totally recommend, we had a great time.

Waste of money

Natalie_R, Jun 2024
Line was long to get inside. They didn’t have enough private cabins. Nothing about the palm is private except the cabin that apparently is not guarantied. Getting this is a waste of money

Response from Host, Jul 2024

Thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately, due to the high water level, we really couldn't move along the entire route, but our program is 2 hours long! The program itself lasts from 19:00 to 21:00, which includes a 1 hour and 30 minute boat tour of the city! Unfortunately, due to the unpleasant weather, this may change and be modified, which we try to communicate to our guests as soon as possible! If our ship arrives earlier, our guests can of course stay on our ship until the end of the program, there is no need to disembark immediately! We hope that we will be able to meet again and enjoy much better weather, so we can present our entire sightseeing program to you!

Do not waste your time or money

This package is awful. Strongly suggest you do not purchase. Despite paying for skip the line and there was no line anyway, staff took us to the apparent V.I.P area located on the second floor accessed by a small lift which fits no more than 4 people comfortably. We had to wait for a family to go up first before entering the second floor. Staff gave us Robes, towels, flip flops and a cap. Only to be told we had to go back down to the ground floor where the Cabins are located to get changed. These cabins are not exclusive to this package and are all the same size. There was certainly no V.I.P treatment having to get changed downstairs where general admission guests would go anyway. Once eventually back on the second floor the area is very small. There were two (2) private areas with curtains, taken by 2 couples. The rest of the area are hammocks within the walkway of the area so no privacy at all. There are small tables with large padded chairs comfortably fitting about Ten(10) couples at best. Not enough seats to relax and get comfy with any privacy at all. The alcoholic cocktails were cheap and of a poor quality we had Mojito and an Aperol Spritz. The Fruit bowls were soggy as tho they had reused the fruit and not replaced them with fresh ones regularly. You are then disconnected from everything else and have to go back down to the ground floor to experience the thermal baths like any other general admission customers. Some of the internal baths were luke warm and over crowded. A lot of people making a lot of noise within a large echoing atmosphere. Hardly a relaxing spa experience. The outside pools were crowded again and generally nothing impressive. I felt the decor inside was out dated and gives you the feel of being within an open prison granted pool time. The tiles are old and the water is merky. I would highly recommend bringing your own flip flops or sliders as the floor appears grim and dirty. Overall I was very disappointed in this experience. We could have got general admission and a cabin (same cabin as the V.I.P package) for only £70 for 2 people. The extra £130 you pay for this package for 2 people does not justify a small overcrowded area out the way of the main pools, a few poorly made cocktails and soggy fruit bowl. There was no private pool or sauna we were introduced too as this package suggested and the outdoor balconies do not share a view. We went during winter so it was snowing and no one was outside. We attended on a weekday where it was be less “busy” however that was not apparent as there was hardly any room to do anything. I would not go back and I would not recommend this to anyone. Save your money and do a better experience

Palm House was pretty and liked having our own locked space to change and put our clothes. The baths were overcrowded. Only a couple were hot. The place looks like an old hospital! Would not recommend for the money we spent!
