Don't purchase, everything on the card is already free. Sonthe only thing you are paying for is transportation, which is quick and easy and also 10x cheaper. You're welcome!

Most of the museums are not free but offer many discounts that you can enjoy with Budapest Card. All BKK facilities are free, and there is a detailed catalogue as well, describing the discounts you can get with the card. When planning your programs in Budapest, you should check what you want to visit and then decide whether or not it is worth it for you to buy the card.

Budapest is a wonderful city with so much to see. Don't end up in the hospital! My husband was in the hospital for 3 days. The staff was good,the facility ugh!

Use of card is easy and transportation a breeze, but the directions for obtaining the card are confusing. It says they can be delivered to your hotel, but you still have to go somewhere else to register for them, but that turned out to be wrong! So we did extra steps for nothing.

Great experience with the card, made using public transport really easy. Buses don’t really check for tickets but the metro can have inspectors you just show the card to, very easy to get into the included museums aswell and definitely a time saver.

Not able to find pick up point.Bad signposting. Should be more central points to pick up cards. Worth for public transport but some of the attractions hard to locate to.

A detailed little book can also be requested for the cards, which includes the exact title of each attraction, thus helping you travel!

Fantastic card to have and helped us get around. The only issue was collecting it, we put the address in google maps and it sent us to the opposite side of the town so after a 3 mile walk we found a very hidden hotel that wasn’t signed as a hotel but apartments to get our passes. The stafff were very helpful and assisted us quickly as we were then running late for our booked trip.
Would also be great to have it electronically on your phone

I had to go out of the way to redeem the card. Then after an hours of searching we found the “redemption point” (which was NOT what was advertised as a redemption point, but in small writing at the bottom), THEN after all that I was unable to use it!! I paid €90 for nothing! NEVER ABLE TO USE IT.

Compare to the Salzburg card you had to pay for all the exciting things.. Almost everywhere I went with my Budapest card they said 'not valid here'. Good for the transportations though

We were told the Budapest card would get us all transportation within Budapest. We still had to pay for the funicular and the hop on and hop off bus. Not satisfied with the amount we paid for this card and what we actually got for it.

I was unable to use my card because the strike by British Airways pilots on 9th/10th September meant that I had to reschedule my plans, leaving me with no time to enjoy any of the benefits of having the card.

I assumed so many attractions are included in the pass but I was wrong. I will recommend buying it in Budapest and there are so many stalls everywhere in the city. Public transportation was included which is a good thing but other than that I do not see much use of having this.

We didn't use it as much as we should have due to out of the area side trips from our cruise line. However, we did use the transportantion part of the card and that was well worth the prince as things we wished to visit were not close to our hotel.

If you are planning on staying in Budapest for any length of time get one of these! You can travel on any public transport service Budapest has a great transport system for the duration of the ticket. The ticket can be ordered on-line and delivered to your hotel or pick up one from the airport.The ticket has a number of attraction discounts attached to it but the real worth is in the unlimited travel.

We ordered our cards to the hotel so they were waiting for us on arrival which meant we could get out and about straight away. Good idea to check all the freebies and discounts you can access before you arrive so you can make the most of the card. Public transport was relatively easy with English announcements for stops on many of the buses we used.

If you are planning to spend at least 2 days in Budapest then I highly recommend purchasing the Budapest card. I ordered it on line and chose the option of having it delivered to our hotel. It was great! When we checked in to our hotel they handed me our cards - so convenient!
