We’ll meet about 15 meters from the Budapest Eye Ferris Wheel cashier, right next to the Danubius Fountain—the one with the muscular six-pack figure on top and three ladies around the sides. The area can get quite busy, so to make us easy to spot, your tour guide will be holding a small blue flag.

Good overall feel for the city. The guide will take you to the top sights. You can then go back if you like to explore in depth.
Great introduction to Budapest and its history. The guide, Sophia, provided a lot of information about Budapest and the country’s history in a very engaging and entertaining manner. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone making their first trip to Budapest.

Our guide Kristina was good, knowledgeable. However, the itinerary that was advertised was not exactly as delivered, which was disappointing.

Great way to see and learn a little about Budapest our guide was Dora who was very informative about Hungarian history and of buildings and monument that we pat during our 2½ hour walk

Wonderful tour. We had an excellent guide( Esther?). She was informative, friendly, humorous. She gave just enough historical information as to not be overwhelming.She also gave good recommendations for places to see and food to eat. We followed a couple of her recommendations and weren’t disappointed.She was concise. It was good that the tour was only 2 hours… not too fatiguing.
This is a “ free” tour. You give what you want as payment at the end of the tour.

Really worth while, great guide Rita. Took us round the different main sites and explained as we went. Some interesting facts, very easy to listen to and she was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming for questions. Would certainly recommend this tour and have now booked others with the same tour company. A great way to explore and gain some knowledge whilst visiting Budapest for a few days.

We paid for a walking tour through Viator. On the day of our walk, we were grouped in with everyone who were there for a free walking tour. It was a very large group and difficult to hear at times. Since we paid, I thought it could be better.
Our guide Sophia was AMAZING though! She did a great job

We'd just like to clarify that this tour is listed as a public group tour for up to 30 participants, rather than a private experience, so guests do join together as one group. This particular weekend was also unusually busy due to the World Athletics Championships in the city, combined with all-day rain on Friday that pushed many travelers to shift their bookings to Saturday and Sunday. Our public tours may also occasionally be combined with another group departing around the same time, which, together with the above, made your group larger than usual and, we understand, made it harder to hear at times.
We appreciate the feedback and are always looking at ways to keep things comfortable even on our busiest days. For guests who'd prefer a smaller or more intimate setting, we also offer private tour options, though naturally at a higher price point.
On a side note, we're grateful to Viator for connecting us with travelers like you - without this platform, you likely would never have found us. And even with everything factored in, your tour with a professional local guide still worked out more affordable than it typically would.
