Lavinia and Dan were excellent hosts. We made regional dishes that were extremely flavorful and fun to make. Lavinia included us in every step of the process. Dan, while not a cook, explained much of the rich history of Bucharest and Romania. We truly had an excellent time and came away feeling like we'd just had lunch with friends and not been given a perfunctory class. We were emailed copies of the recipes that included how to make the dishes with ingredients found in the USA. We cannot over-emphasize how much we recommend this class.

Pati and Dan are amazing. They are world travelers and it was pleasure sharing a piece of their world in their home in Bucharest. We had message them 7 hours before the scheduled cooking class telling them that our flight arrived late and would not be able to make it to the cooking class and that I am aware there is no refunds. They invited us the next day for the cooking class. Most tour operators would ignore this request but being the great people they are welcomed us to their home the following day. It was our first time being in a soviet block home after being on so many tours all over Eastern Europe. They are warm and inviting people and welcomed us with open arms and lots of snacks. Come hungry. From the time we walked in to the time we finished, it felt like being invited over for dinner by old friends. They will tell you stories of their travels around the world. They are modest people with a big heart. This was by far one of the best tour experiences we have ever had out 100+ tours we have taken. Masters of their craft and the food was delicious.

Dan and Patty are lovely. It was really fun and delicious, both for me and the kids. Highly recommend, you won't regret it.
I had a great experience with Patricia & Dan, a very friendly warm welcoming couple. Enjoyed both the hands-on cooking experience and the interesting talks we had (got the chance to practice my Romanian language skills, but they are both fluent English speakers). The food we prepared was very tasty. You also get the recipes so you will be able to prepare them at home. If you are in Bucharest this HIGHLY RECOMMENDED both for solo travellers and for couples. Make sure you come hungry.

The hosts were so welcoming and nice. It was just me taking the cooking class in their home. They were lovely. I had a great time listening to their stories and learning to cook a couple of traditional Romanian dishes of polenta and papanasi.

Perfect way to spend part of the day in Bucharest! The food and conversation were great. They made me feel like part of the family.
We had such an amazing experience cooking with fresh foods and recreating traditional dishes. The food was delicious. Along with being warm, welcoming and friendly the hosts demonstrated consideration when accomodating allergies. They went above and beyond to guide us and to provide us with local and historical information. Communication and customer service from the hosts was excellent. We would recommend this experience.

we came to a local market, met a farmer who comes once a week to cook for the locals , it was food that we never eaten before. we learn how to make traditional food. we also made it ourself and then set to eat. our wonderful hosts answer every question (and we had a lot) gave us special local drink and some tasty bread .it was a unique experience from all the regular tourist things you do in bucharest , and we rcomended to everyone.
