Ina our guide was fantastic!
Ina was a fantastic guide at Rila Monastery and Boyana Church—helpful, cheerful, and incredibly informative. She shared in-depth history, from the founding of Rila Monastery in the 10th century by St. Ivan of Rila and its role in preserving Bulgarian culture, to the detailed stories behind Boyana Church’s exceptional 13th-century frescoes. Her explanations were engaging and easy to follow, making the entire experience both insightful and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely trip with Iva. The tour was punctual and the bus to Plovdiv was comfortable. There was a bakery near the starting location which made it easy to grab something to eat before the trip started. There was a bathroom break around 10 minutes before we reached Plovdiv. We had a nice guided tour in Plovdiv, where Iva explained the history behind each of the attractions. After the guided tour, we had some time to explore the city on our own and grab lunch. Iva also gave us restaurant recommendations. The return trip also started on time. All in all, it was a great tour and Iva was a lovely guide. Plovdiv is an amazing city with a lot of interesting historical attractions, which can easily be explored for a day or two. Can totally recommend this tour for people who only have limited time to explore the city.

A Meaningful Visit to Skopje, North Macedonia
Our trip to Skopje was long and, in terms of sightseeing, relatively modest, but it held a very special purpose for us. Visiting the birthplace of Saint Mother Teresa was the highlight of the journey and made the entire experience worthwhile. Standing in the city where her remarkable story began gave the trip a sense of meaning that went far beyond typical tourism.
Aside from this spiritual and emotional milestone, there wasn’t a great deal to explore, but the overall experience was made comfortable thanks to our driver Luboslav. He was exceptionally professional, skilled, and proficient in English, ensuring a smooth and safe ride throughout the day. Traveling in a small group of just six people also made the journey more relaxed and personal.
While Skopje may not offer an abundance of attractions for every traveler, our purpose was fulfilled, and for that reason, the trip was truly valuable to us.

Veliko tarnovo
The tour to Veliko Tarnovo was an absolute highlight and a must-do for anyone visiting Bulgaria. The city itself is stunning, with its dramatic hills, winding streets, and the breathtaking Tsarevets Fortress overlooking the Yantra River. Walking through the old town felt like stepping back in time, and the history was brought to life in a really engaging way.
The tour was well organized, with a great balance between guided explanations and free time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the atmosphere. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate, sharing fascinating historical details as well as local stories that made the experience even more memorable.
From the panoramic views to the charming architecture and rich medieval history, Veliko Tarnovo exceeded all expectations. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys culture, history, and beautiful scenery—it’s an experience you won’t forget.

Sofia Walking Tour
Our tour guide Pavlina was the best! She was so knowledgeable and informative and made sure we saw all the historic sites in Sofia. She went above and beyond our tour time as it ran over a little bit but she didn’t skimp on anything. Highly recommend this tour and Pavlina!

Easy day trip to must see sights
Must see excursion while in Sofia. Monastery is magical and the lakes are the perfect nature hike. We got lucky with amazing weather. Apostolos was our guide, nice roomie Van, good driver, provided a lot of free time to see what we needed and provided guidance for anything we wanted, great for independent travelers. Oh and such cute dogs that love him when we arrived at the Rila lakes ski lift.

Great day trip to Serbia
Our day trip to Nis, Serbia was a wonderful experience! The two-hour journey was comfortable, and our tour guide was extremely informative and helpful throughout the trip. We visited several fascinating sites, including the Mediana archaeological site, the historical Skull Tower, and the Nis Fortress. Each location offered a deep insight into the city’s rich history and culture. After exploring the landmarks, we enjoyed some free time in the city center, which was lively and full of great restaurants and souvenir shops. Overall, it was an educational and enjoyable trip—highly recommended for anyone visiting Serbia!

A Fabulous late afternoon experience Rila Monastery
Our leader was Nikolay on the 1/2 day trip from Sofia to the Rila Monastery. I cannot say enought about what a great and knowledgeable tour guide he was. It was a small group (7) in a van. We were on the 3:30 PM, so when we arrived, we had the place to ourselves; there were zero tour buses there. He also took great photos for us. He talked the perfect amount and pointed out areas of interest. Highly recommend this experience! And the Monastery cannot be missed.

Plovdiv and Rila Monastery: Consolidate two Unescorted sites in a day
This was a long day, but it was worth the time and money. Our driver/host Apostolos inew a lot about the country and kept us on track while ensuring we had opportunity to stop for food and bathroom. We very much enjoyed the 2hr walking free tour (tip based) that Apostolos arranged for us( we learned a lot about Plovdiv from our very knowledgeable local tour guide. We had enough time at the Rila Monastery to walked around and admire the architecture and religious wealth. We wished that we had received the audio tour hyperlink from the company that runs the tour one day in advance, as we had planned our time there more efficiently. However, we strongly recommend the tour.

We had an absolutely...
We had an absolutely exceptional day trip exploring the Rila Lakes and Rila Monastery, all thanks to Philip's brilliant organization. His decision to have us start hiking to the lakes in the morning was incredibly smart, especially for a July visit. While the hike was a bit challenging, the moment we reached the viewpoint and saw the breathtaking blue lakes, we knew it was entirely worth the effort. Bringing our own packed lunch and plenty of water was absolute necessary. His guidance as our tour guide was invaluable, helping us reach that spectacular viewpoint. I chose this tour specifically because of the reviews about Philip, and he certainly lived up to them!

Great Tour of Boyana Church and Rila Monastery with Lubdomir!
We had our tour of Rila Monastery and Boyana Church in February 2025 at 9 am. The day before we got all the information of this so it was easy in the morning. When we first got to the meeting point, there were 3 tour buses. You just say what company you are with and then they point you to the right bus.
Our tour guide was Lubdomir. The first stop was Boyana church, spent about 40 minutes here, in total we had 22 ish people on the tour so we had to go inside the church in 2 groups. Also it was extra payment for Boyana Church (approximately 5 EUR per person) but this was communicated the day before.
After that we left for Rila Monastery. We got there at 12 pm. You had the choice to leave at 1:30 pm to go to a local restaurant where you can pay via card or leave at 2:45 pm from the monastery, the choice was yours which was nice. There was a bakery and some souvenirs outside of the monastery where the local breakfast pastry bread was 1 LEV. After we got driven back to Sofia and finished the tour around 4:45 pm. Solid tour, felt like we had an ample amount of time, nice coach and solid guide.
