What are people saying about Thessaloniki

A worthwhile experience...
A worthwhile experience to see the majestic Meteora. Everything went smoothly and the guide and driver were great. Sit on the left side if you want to see Meteora on approach. Anyone with moderate physical condition can do it. Lunch at Meteora Panorama restaurant was good and service was efficient, essential for a bus load of tourists. Bring snacks as the shop at the pit stop is overpriced.

The tour guide,...
The tour guide, Evangelia, was very knowledgeable about not only the sites we visited but also about Thessaloniki and other archaeological sites. She gave us plenty of information and at the sites and museums we did on our own which I found better as we went at our pace.

Enjoy the experience
A fabulous day of learning the eating ways of Greeks and Thessaloniki folks. Different to other food tours we have done, but very informative, especially when it came to the cheeses. Wonderful cheeses. Our lunch was tasty and traditional and ended a great day.

Excellent walk in the footsteps of St Paul
Vasili was on time to pick us up at the hotel. If you stay in Thessaloniki it’s about an hour’s drive to the Ancient Phillipi. We chose not to have a licensed guide which was fine as an audio guide is free for walking the ruins. Afterwards we went to the Baptistery of St Lydia. This is an amazing chapel with paintings of St Paul’s acts as recorded in the Book of Acts. A must is getting the book in the gift shop as it explains both the ruins, the chapel and the importance of Kavala. After lunch in Kavala we went back to Thessaloniki. If you have any faith/religious beliefs/education this is a must on your journeys.

Get closer to the gods on Thessaloniki tours. You can climb Mt. Olympus, where ancient Greeks said Zeus and Hera ruled the human world, or explore Meteora, a complex of Eastern Orthodox monasteries that sit precariously on the top of stone monoliths. Whichever you choose, the city will be waiting for you when you get back. Perhaps a pub crawl or wine tasting will take the edge off the encounter with the spiritual—if not, some thermal baths will do the trick instead.
