What are people saying about Thessaloniki

Highly recommended daytrip
We met up 8 AM and got picked up by the bus. We had the option to eat at 9 AM or just get coffee, very close to Mt. Olympus (bonus that we got to see this). Then we rode the bus to 2 different Monestaries. You don't need to bring a long skirt as a woman as thr monestaries provide this free of charge in the entrance. It was very interesting to get insight to the life of the munks and nuns. We also stopped at the most beautiful picture spot. Be careful if you are afraid of heights. Lunch was a bit late for my taste but the food was so good and the restaursnt had beautiful views. Then we rode back to Thessaloniki. I am very hsppy I got this experience. The time we had at each stop was fitting. Tip: Bring some entertainment for the bus trip since it is a lot of the day you will spend in a bus.

Enjoy the experience
A fabulous day of learning the eating ways of Greeks and Thessaloniki folks. Different to other food tours we have done, but very informative, especially when it came to the cheeses. Wonderful cheeses. Our lunch was tasty and traditional and ended a great day.

Excellent walk in the footsteps of St Paul
Vasili was on time to pick us up at the hotel. If you stay in Thessaloniki it’s about an hour’s drive to the Ancient Phillipi. We chose not to have a licensed guide which was fine as an audio guide is free for walking the ruins. Afterwards we went to the Baptistery of St Lydia. This is an amazing chapel with paintings of St Paul’s acts as recorded in the Book of Acts. A must is getting the book in the gift shop as it explains both the ruins, the chapel and the importance of Kavala. After lunch in Kavala we went back to Thessaloniki. If you have any faith/religious beliefs/education this is a must on your journeys.

Nice tour....
Nice tour. The "hiking" portion is pretty short, though it has a lot of steps up and down (only an issue if you have very poor fitness or mobility issues). The "lunch" activity was pretty late in the day so we ate lunch in Dion in the park and hiked a bit of the gorge while every one had lunch. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly

Get closer to the gods on Thessaloniki tours. You can climb Mt. Olympus, where ancient Greeks said Zeus and Hera ruled the human world, or explore Meteora, a complex of Eastern Orthodox monasteries that sit precariously on the top of stone monoliths. Whichever you choose, the city will be waiting for you when you get back. Perhaps a pub crawl or wine tasting will take the edge off the encounter with the spiritual—if not, some thermal baths will do the trick instead.
