We learned a lot about Athens and the gods of ancient Greece from our tour guide, Cosco. We also visited a lot, if not all, of the sites/ruins in the city. Cosco made the tour fun and exciting and he was knowledgeable of the the gods and the role they played in Ancient Greece, as well as the transformation of religious beliefs to Christianity. We loved the tour. Coscos treated us with respect, dignity, and kindness and helped me with my mobility issues throughout the tour. He was great.

George gave us an amazing tour! He was very knowledgeable of the history of Athens and shared so many facts with us we came away learning so much. The traffic was light so we were able to see so much in the four hours booked and had some time to watch the change of the guards. Long day but worth it!

I had a great time on this trip. George is an excellent guide, he balanced providing us detailed information with free time expertly. We were always clear on timing and itinerary. He was able to naturally bring the group together in a truly organic and engaging way so that we were all able to share our varied experiences.. Extra special shoutout for helping me find a bathroom with a functioning toilet, lol. You cover a lot of ground on this trip, I’d totally recommend!

This was my first time booking with viator. It came recommended by our travel agent. I was nervous at first because I did not know what to expect. The driver we had named Panos was amazing. I got see to the important landmarks that I wanted to see especially the Acropolis. Our driver explained a lot about the history in Athens. He was a very nice and pleasant young man. I recommend to anyone to take this tour. I am so happy we booked this tour with Viator. I do plan on using Viator for any future tours.

Our guide pointed out the buildings in Athens as we passed by and told us interesting facts. I bought the tickets for the Acropolis and the National Archaeological Museum before we left for the trip for the times needed and printed them. He made sure we got to the sites during the time slot. He can’t go into the sites because he’s not an official guide but there are signs at the Acropolis and we bought a book. In the museum they give you a telephone device to enter numbers that explains in English what the item is; this was free and I had to give them my drivers license and it was returned when I brought the devices back. The van was very nice and we were the only 4 people in the van. Our driver Nick spoke very good English and answered all of our questions. He recommended some restaurants for us to go to at the end of the tour and the restaurant we went to was very good. I would definitely recommend this tour. The hardest part of the tour was trying to find him after exiting the Acropolis. He pinged us and texted on what’s app and we were able to find him.

If you want a truly personalized experience, book this trip. Our family enjoyed this experience so much. Our guide Nico was fantastic. He picked us up at our front door right on time and continued to deliver throughout the trip. Every stop he took the time to explain what we were seeing and why it was important. But then, he just let us do whatever we want without feeling pressured or hurried. He was very patient and kind. We even asked to go somewhere not on the tour and he happily obliged. It was the best day trip I've experienced in all my years of traveling.

Excellent experience with George as our guide & driver! He provided insights and knowledge of all aspects of life and history for Athens and Greece. Viator via JG Athens Tours provided opportunities for input and questions, but especially quick responses to questions on ticketing for Acropolis as well as arranging for our guided tour of the Acropolis… which was very worth while.
