Itinerary
Set off from the meeting point outside of the central Avlabari metro station in Tbilisi with your guide and group and set off for a traditional bakery in Badiauri to learn how traditional Georgian bread is made, plus enjoy a tasting with cheese and a glass of wine. Then continue on to the Monastery of St. Nino in Bodbe, stopping at a scenic overlook to snap photos of the Kakheti wine country along the way.
After a guided tour of the monastery, head to the historic town of Sighnaghi to walk its city walls before relaxing over a classic Georgian lunch overlooking the Alazani Valley. Cap off your day with tours and tastings at a local family winery before the return transfer to the meeting point in Tbilisi.

We had such a wonderful time on our tour of the Georgian wine country. The itinerary was well crafted and immersive. What really made the tour memorable was Anna, our guide. Out of dozens of tours over the years, she is the best guide I’ve ever had. It was apparent she really loves what she does and her warmth, kindness and knowledge made the tour a unique and memorable experience. She made the effort to remember everyone’s names and at the end of the tour I felt like we had been friends for years. Also wanted to mention Soso, our driver. Although there was a language barrier, Soso made genuine attempts to interact with the guests and show his enthusiasm. I am so grateful for them both and would not hesitate to book another tour with this company. Truly a 5-star experience.

Luke was a wonderful guide. Speaks really good English. The restaurant we stopped at for lunch was very good with great views. The tour is very well organized. We really enjoyed it!! Great value.

Hands down one of the best tours I’ve ever been on! Visiting all the historical spots was amazing but what made it really special was learning about the people behind Georgia’s history plus ofcourseeeee the wine tasting! 🍷HUGE thanks to Ilia, he’s basically a walking history book. Our guide was Illya, and I can't say enough good things about his guidance. He's very attentive, informative and made the whole experience pleasant, informative and entertaining. The whole group was happy and almost didn't want to part at the end of the tour. Also, this review would be incomplete without mentioning the smooth driving of our driver, Zaza. His experience shows from start to finish, and the music he played was in sync with the group mood, awesome!

Trip was fun from start to finish! The Kakheti wine tour had beautiful scenery, delicious tastings, and a relaxed vibe. What made it truly memorable was Gio — he’s knowledgeable, funny, and kept the group engaged throughout. We had a very enjoyable tour visiting a family bakery, the monastery, and the city of Sighnaghi, and of course the wineries! Our tour guide, George (Gigi) was excellent! Very personable and gave us information about all of the sites. He created a very friendly environment for our group of 18. The van/bus was very comfortable and the driver was great. Highly recommend the tour!

This tour was so well drilled . Absolutely perfect the way they run things spot on time. No delays just a well run company . Always had the relaxed friendly service from the time you depart on this great tour . GG the tour manager was exceptionally amazing with his tour guiding . Definitely very experienced with the cultural Georgia right down to the amazing wine district with specific detail without the boring sleepy talk. Great man !

Great day trip, we enjoyed the Bodbe Monastery, Sighnaghi visit, and the wines at KTW. We had a fun group of people, and once the wine, Chacha and brandy started flowing the vibes were great.
Small side note, for a wine tour, I expected more focus on wine. It would have been great to visit a vineyard, and hear more from the professionals about the Georgian wine making process, grape varieties and it’s flavors etc.

Well organised, great wines, informative and personable guide - Ell was great fun.
We were in a small mini van which seated 6 but was very comfortable.
Journeys between stops not too long, and the stops were well timed.
Bit tipsy by the end, lots of wine on the last stop.

A bit too much talking and walking in the morning and not enough time to savour the wine later in the day. It was still good value for money though.

I had returned from a 6 day organised tour of Georgia and it just shows you always learn something from a different perspective. Very enjoyable and well organised and given the very generous samples of wine, brandy and Chacha and length of the trip it is superb value for money.

I spent a great time on the trip! It started out with an informative talk by the guide Ilia to fill the time in the bus. The subsequent stops were MAGNIFICENT, especially the church. Once it came to the wine tastings, you could feel the mood loosening among us travellers, and everyone mingled with everyone, ideal for solo travelers too! Thanks Ilia for the great time :))

This trip was really fun and we got to see a lot of nice places. The wine was good and we got enough too try. We did feel it lacked a bit when it comes to learning about the wine, if you are somone really interested in the small details. We did learn about how they made the wine both the old and the new way, and little bit about each wine

The experience was a lot of fun but I think highly depends on your group as well. We had a great group of people and the tour guide Kati did such an amazing job. You start of doing more scenic tours, and then the afternoon is spent visiting more wineries. I highly recommend the lunch that you pay extra for but the amount of food, wine and chacha is well worth it. In the end we had a really fun day, made good friends and will kepe the memories for long.

A must do tour whilst in Georgia.
It's an action packed day that unfortunately ends too early. Gigi was a fantastic tour guide.
The day starts off visiting a bakery, monestray before stopping for lunch. I recommend taking the set menu option, where you can eat with others and have options to try many dishes.
There is plenty of wine thoughout the day so you will no need to worry how much is available!

We recently joined Gamarjoba Georgia Tours for both the Tbilisi city tour and the Kakheti wine region tour, and it was the highlight of our trip!
The Kakheti wine tour was truly special. We loved learning about the traditional Qvevri winemaking process—it’s fascinating to see how deep the roots of viticulture go here. The wine tastings were generous, the local food was delicious, and the views of the Alazani Valley from Sighnaghi were breathtaking.
The guides were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure we learned a lot while still having a great time. If you want a well-organized, authentic, and fun way to see Georgia, I can’t recommend Gamarjoba enough!

Overall the tour was great. Maria is an excellent guide. She is very knowledgeable and super fun. I would say she is one of the highlights of the tour. I enjoyed every stop on the tour. The bakery is very rustic but authentic. Really cool to see how the bread is made. The nonery grounds was beautiful and it was cool to see the grave of the St. Nino. Walking the old wall at Love city was special. Learning about the clay pot wine making was interesting. The extensive Georgian lunch (supra) was fantastic and drinking the wine out of a horn was exciting and fun. The only disappointment was the wine tasting at the large winery at the end as I felt very rushed. However that's where I ended buying the wine and the brandy so it was not a complete loss.
