Out and About in Santorini.

Today we had a 6- hour tour of Santorini. I here were 6 of us with our guide, Tosos. He was fantastic and took us all over the island. We drive through the capital Fira and saw the path up the hill the cruise ship visitors take (along with the cable car option), went to the small town of magalochori and saw one of the old cave houses, had lunch at a great restaurant on the beach and walked on the black sand beach. We also went to Imerovigli, the highest central part of the Caldera and toured the Akrotiri archeological site covered by ash from the volcanic eruption in 1615 BC.. lastly we ended up at the monastery at the top of the hill that gave us great views of where we had been. It was a fabulous day and our guide was really lovely!

Michális was an excellent guide!! We did the 8 hour tour and went ti all the places we wanted to go to and several others that he suggested. He was super informative and engaging. He shared some Greek history, cultural perspectives from the locals, knowledge of the island you get from someone who grew up and lives in Santorini. I was going to rent a car and drive around myself, but would I’d have been a mistake. Leave the stress of driving and parking the congested, narrow Santorini roads to someone that know them. We would have spent more time trying to find places, parking and navigating…and would have missed all the sights and background information Michális was providing. Wonderful tour!

Great tour with Akis

Well done tour by a local resident named Akis who really knew the history of Santorini and all the places we visited. So informative with locations we might not have come across on our own, including wonderful photo opportunities. Plenty of stops to allow you to stretch your legs and grab a drink or something to eat. It was a fun time - highly recommend!

Don't Skip Akrotiri...It's Amazing!!

To see the island in a relatively short period of time, it is very helpful to have a driver and guide. Our main goals were to see Oia and the ancient city of Akrotiri, which are on opposite sides of the island. The tour was customizable to our wishes since it was a private tour. Our guide was a great driver and very friendly but did not provide a ton of historical information. I would have liked more information as we were driving the island. We booked a water taxi to/from the Fira cruise tender port. This saved a LOT of time by not lining up for the cable car. However, the water taxi driver made a mistake and took our party along with another party of 8, who had actually booked a different taxi. We had to stand the whole time and couldn't see anything. For 120 Euros to go 20 minutes, that's an expensive mistake on their part and no follow up was given, not even an apology.

We had a group of 8. Did the full day tour. It was fantastic. Theo was our guide. We got to see the whole island. At Oia, he took us past all of the lines for photos and got us right to the perfect spot for pictures. He knew how to say away from the crowds. We have great memories from that day thanks to Theo.

The BEST tour of Santorini!

This was a 5 hour tour of Santorini with ability to customize the experience. OUTSTANDING tour! Dimitris was our guide and EXCELLENT. Truly knowledgeable, friendly, professional, engaging. Very safe driver. We enjoyed him immensely! Our chosen itinerary was a visit to Fira (we were staying in Oia, pickup there included with drop off later, seamless!), Church of the Three Bells, on to Akrotiri archeological site- well worth the €20 ticket). We spent a hour there. Then on to black sand beach, the Monastery of the Prophet Elias (highest point on Santorini, beautiful), finished with glass of one at Santo Winery with a little charcuterie. We could not have enjoyed this tour more. Dimitris knows this island well and has any variety of sights and places to customize your tour anyway you wish. We loved that. It has high marks on Viator by reviewers and no wonder why now. We are from USA and Dimitris spoke English fluently and clearly. I think we can be tough critics most of the time in these types of tours, but this hit all the marks. Hope you enjoy it too!

Great experience , incredible views. The food is fantastic, the hospitality is 2nd to none. We travel many places and this place will not disappoint. Lots of shopping, not too pricey. The wine is also something to try. Refreshing whites and pairs well with the food. Our driver was very informative,so we also got a history lesson during the day as well.
