Pompeii Ruins
Trying to get there was hard to figure since it was up the hill! Tour guide was super informative and friendly! Definitely a lot more to see beyond the tour if you have extra time to enjoy! It is very open so hot in sun not much shade bring plenty of water. Very steep hill to walk up and down other than that mostly flat with cobble stone paths! Overall an great experience seeing and exploring the ruins!

Cities of Mystery and Tragedy
This was a truly educational and amazing experience. I learned so much about Pompeii and Herculaneum. Micael was very knowledgeable. It's truly incredible to see how well preserved these two cities are. I didn't know there is still much that has yet to be uncovered. 10/10

An Experience we will Always Remember! Thank You!
This excursion was amazing and we would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Pompeii and the Herculaneum! We are grateful we decided to do a private tour instead of a group tour because we were able to ask questions throughout, did not have to have a headset to hear our guide, and were able to go to the locations we were most interested in. On an extremely busy day (with 4 cruise ships ported) our knowledgeable guide was able to take us to places that we wouldn't have seen in large groups, he knew where to go and what to avoid with the large crowds everywhere.
Our driver, Antonio, was also our licensed tour guide so from the time we were picked up from our boat until we were dropped off at the end of the tour, we received valuable information about the sites we were seeing, as well as about Naples history. He even had photos and a Power Point presentation to prepare us for what we were going to see and to answer questions we had before we even got to the locations. Antonio was professional, had great communication, was friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. He made this trip what it was - unforgettable.
Our family booked the pick-up/drop off Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Mount Vesuvius experience. Antonio let us know as soon as we booked that the tickets to Pompeii and the Herculaneum were already taken care of, but that the Mount Vesuvius experience is something that we book when the tickets open up on the park's website and he is able to take us there for the climb, but he also let us know that they are challenging tickets to get, and let us know the steps to obtain them and provided the website so we could attempt to get the tickets when they become available. (We found out later that it is so challenging to get tickets because the large tour companies are able to get them about 6 months in advance and they buy all the tickets so that small tour companies and individuals aren't able to get them at the standard price and have to go through the bigger companies to do the experience at a raised price - that is too bad, but has no reflection on Antonio or our experience, because he assured us that if we could not get the tickets he would be able to provide us with an experience we would enjoy).
We ended up doing an extended tour at Pompeii taking us to an area in the back of the site, going to a delightful restaurant and having Pizza Napoletana while Antonio walked all the way back through Pompeii to get the car and we could relax and eat, we went to the Herculaneum and saw the museum there, and then did a tour of Naples seeing the beautiful panoramic views and the local buildings.
Antonio was a great teacher, he prepared us well, so we could understand when we got to the sites, we could understand how to recognize shops, temples, and other significant features. Our daughter, who is 10, was able to recognize areas when he would say, "Question, what is this?" She knew it was a shop, or a temple, or a water fountain, or where awnings were, etc., because he had done a great job with showing us recognizable features and it helped us better understand what we were seeing. In addition, he brought in his tablet with the pictures so that when we were in specific areas of the site, he could say, "This is what it may have looked like" and you could picture the scene in your mind even better.
He was mindful that our daughter was young and asked ahead of time whether we would like to see the "red light" district areas, or whether we would like to do another area, which was very thoughtful.
He also did a great job comparing and contrasting the Herculaneum and Pompeii so we could understand the difference between the two sites.
We are grateful that we booked this tour and recommend it to anyone! Antonio is amazing and we will remember this experience for a lifetime, thanks to him!!!!

A taste of Vesuvius
A guided tour of Pompei which was educational and not rushed. A taste as there is such a big site to explore.
The lunch and wine tasting was lovely. Local food and wine with a group of new friends what’s not to like?
Attentive and informative hosts.

Excellent Tour
An excellent tour with a wealth of knowledge given by Julia our guide who was wonderful. We learnt so much about the small part we toured over 3 hours that we need to come back to see the rest. Would tell anyone this is the tour to do to see the most of Pompeii.

We went to Pompei two...
We went to Pompei two weeks ago and had a wonderful time. Our tour guide was very knowledgable he helped us find the best spots for taking pictures and made sure that we saw all the best of Pompeii. He made recommendations of other things to see when the tour was over and encouraged us to explore on our own. Our guide was the best and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone else coming to Pompeii.

Great trip even with the rain and clouds …
You travel for about 30 mins by mini bus ( seats for all ) and Mario our guide was great, giving lots of details on the way. The drive up Vesuvius is a bit heart racing but the driver was very experienced. It was sunny when we left but when we arrived at the car park it was cold and wet so take back up clothes and don’t just wear shorts!! The walk up is about thirty minutes and is very steep. Again our guide was amazing and gave lots of talks along the way and at the craters edge. We got a glimpse of the crater before the cloud descended … although no view it was still worth the hike for me … great trip but take warm clothes and a rain coat in case ( too windy for umbrellas)…. Shout out to Mario from Askos tours… he was great …

Book it! It was one of the highlights of our holiday!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our vineyard tour, tasting and lunch. It started with a warm welcome and then a private tour for our group of 6 around the vineyard in a golf buggy. It's a beautiful place with its own ruins, a stables, a hotel, a small 'zoo' and a pretty outdoor seated area for lunch and tasting. We were initially given a glass of spumanti, which was lovely, and then taken to our table. Our group were sat on our own table and had our own sommelier. She was lovely and really funny. We were given a glass of white, a rose and two reds alongside our lunch, which was also great. We bought another bottle to share as well, although we probably didn't need it! After a long morning exploring Pompeii this was a perfect way to spend the afternoon and one of the highlights of our holiday. It's also very close to the main Pompeii train station - we walked from the park and then got a taxi back.

Eliana and Pompei- perfect bucket list experience
Ever wait your whole life to see something, only to fear the experience won't live up to the hype? For me, that was Pompeii. I'd been waiting since grade school to walk those streets.
I'd hyped myself with visions of ornate beauty. But that was tempered by the math. Pompeii at its peak was home to nearly 20,000 people. Today, with huge portions of the city still unexcavated, there are typically that many tourists or more all jostling to see the same things.
I braced for the worst.
Thankfully, my wife hired Eliana Sandretti as our guide. Confident, easy going, and carrying more knowledge than any one person should reasonably possess, she managed to make it feel like we nearly had the city to ourselves.
She steered us through the ruins and around the tourist chokepoints without ever making us feel rushed or stalled. The tour moved at our pace. She took time early on to understand what mattered to us, then built the experience around that.
Her eye for detail — sharpened through years as a working archaeologist — consistently surfaced things we would have walked right past. Even more compelling were the stories she told about the people: how they lived, and how they died.
By the end, you'll find yourself glancing uneasily at Mt. Vesuvius, quietly hoping today isn't the day it decides to finish the job.

Engaging, knowledgeable, fun and interesting!
Our tour guide, Elisa, was amazing! From the moment we walked through the gates she told us what we could see with a very engaging mix of humour and knowledge. She took us to all the best spots and told us many of the stories behind the ruins and had answers to any questions our group had! There was points within the tour where she let us go and wander for 5/10 minutes in places where there was a lot to explore but most of the tour was in our group of 11 which I think was a perfect size after seeing some other tours whilst we were there in huge groups. Thank you for making exploring Pompeii so enjoyable and bringing the history to life!

Pompeii is so expansive...
Pompeii is so expansive so this tour was a great way to see a good portion of the site with highlights. Our tour guide was well versed on Pompeii knowledge and was able to provide excellent history and stories in an engaging way. We spent a couple hours after the tour continuing to explore the site. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to understand more about Pompeii!

Perfect Pompeii Day with Francesca!
Booking the family option tour of Pompeii with Francesca was the one of best decisions we made in Italy! She was absolutely amazing and truly brought the ancient city to life for our family. Our three children, ages 9, 7, and 3, were completely captivated by her engaging storytelling and incredible preparation. My wife and I were just as enthralled! Francesca's expertise shone as she strategically navigated us through the site, expertly avoiding crowds to give us a surprisingly intimate experience, even on a very busy day. She is so smart, kind, and clearly passionate about Pompeii. She made our visit incredibly special and memorable.
