What are people saying about Pompeii

Absolutely Recommend
Yolanda was our guide and she was extremely informative and helpful with all the questions from the group. I really loved the details she pointed out as we made our way around Pompeii. Our tour started at 2pm, it was very hot, but she made sure to stop in areas of shade to make us more comfortable.

Great day trip from Rome!
Very informative walking tour of Herculaneum and Pompeii. The tour included train tickets for I’m Rome and a minibus ride from Naples. The company clearly communicated the logistics through email and telephone. The Tour guide, Michaelo was wonderful. He was very nice and very knowledgeable. His English is very good and he communicated very well.
It was as a great day trip from Rome and definitely worth the time and money.

Pompeii explored in style 😊 😎
Annalisa was really informative and passionate about Pompeii and Italian history in general . I have gone a couple of times and had been lucky to get some great guides - she was just as good and I learned some more things that I was unaware of . She also has a lovely relaxed manner and sense of humour which really helps . Would recommend !!

Great learning and appreciation
Amazing! I learned so much more than I had expected to. Daniel was a great tour guide. He was so respectful of the area and had a sense of pride and appreciation for his community that he really took the time to ensure we understood the timeline of events and more.

Great Insight Into Pompeii
This tour is a great introduction into the history and gave an insight into what life in Pompeii would have been like. The meeting / drop off point was straight forward, immediately outside the port and the Guides handled it from there. I also received very good communication via WhatsApp throughout. The tour itself was very informative and we visited a variety of sites, from shop fronts, to grand homes, to an amphitheatre and to the Forum. We visited during the first week of August and it was hot, therefore this half day tour was very much appreciated. However we now have the appetite to hopefully explore Pompeii once again in the future (when it's a little bit cooler). A knowledgable Guide is highly recommended for such a vast and fascinating city and know doubt we'll be signing up for another tour when we come round to it!

Grandson loved the hike, Guide was quite knowledgeable
My 20 year old grandson loves to hike. We took the tour but my husband and I stayed at the bus level. My grandson absolutely loved the hike. It was a very small group with only the guide and one other hiker. They were all used to hiking so it was great for them. He got great pictures all around.

Wonderful guide, great experience
Amazing opportunity to learn more about Pompeii and it's history. I learned so much about the history of Pompeii before the eruption as well as the research that continues at the site. We had an insightful, patient and kind guide, Theresa, who I would recommend to any English speaking tourist and probably any other languages she speaks as well.

A Master Class Given at Pompeii
The entire experience was first rate with Eliana as our tour guide. While my wife and I were a bit worried that much of the information would go over our sons’s heads, it was fantastic. She is not only a tour guide, but THE master archaeologist currently AT Pompeii. She has 25+ years experience digging the site!
She tailored the experience to us and our children (who are mini adults) and answered every single question with such authenticity and detail (I.e., colors of the frescos) that it made me realize everything we missed the first time we came 11 years ago on our honeymoon. She has access to everything, and the seas parted when it was obvious everyone knew her. This was secondary to all of nuanced information she gave about the differences in a “business city” like Pompeii versus Rome, a “political city.”
What’s more, we were given just the right amount of time to recharge halfway through the tour, making the second half more exciting than the first.
We cannot thank Eliana enough for the experience we were provided today. A tour guide is one thing, but a master giving one is quite another.

Highly recommended
We booked Sabrina for a private family tour of Pompeii with our two young children, and she was brilliant from start to finish. She struck exactly the right balance for young kids…bringing the ruins to life through stories about everyday Roman life, food, and how people actually lived, rather than just reciting dates and facts, which kept both children genuinely engaged the whole way round. She was also great at pacing the tour to suit us, adjusting the route and tempo so the kids never got bored or overwhelmed by the July heat, while still giving us adults plenty of fascinating detail. Her warmth and patience with the children, combined with real depth of knowledge, made this one of the highlights of our trip to Sorrento. Highly recommend Sabrina for any family visiting Pompeii with young kids….she made ancient history genuinely fun for all of us!

Best Tour Guide in all Pompeii
Everyone agreed this was the highlight of our trip. Our guide Lello was absolutely incredible to say the least. It ended up just being our little group of four in his group so we got a private tour of Pompeii. He was so knowledgeable but his personality was what made the tour exceptional. He took us around and we got to see a lot in our time there. I would definitely request him and this tour!

Book it! It was one of the highlights of our holiday!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our vineyard tour, tasting and lunch. It started with a warm welcome and then a private tour for our group of 6 around the vineyard in a golf buggy. It's a beautiful place with its own ruins, a stables, a hotel, a small 'zoo' and a pretty outdoor seated area for lunch and tasting. We were initially given a glass of spumanti, which was lovely, and then taken to our table. Our group were sat on our own table and had our own sommelier. She was lovely and really funny. We were given a glass of white, a rose and two reds alongside our lunch, which was also great. We bought another bottle to share as well, although we probably didn't need it! After a long morning exploring Pompeii this was a perfect way to spend the afternoon and one of the highlights of our holiday. It's also very close to the main Pompeii train station - we walked from the park and then got a taxi back.

Engaging, knowledgeable, fun and interesting!
Our tour guide, Elisa, was amazing! From the moment we walked through the gates she told us what we could see with a very engaging mix of humour and knowledge. She took us to all the best spots and told us many of the stories behind the ruins and had answers to any questions our group had! There was points within the tour where she let us go and wander for 5/10 minutes in places where there was a lot to explore but most of the tour was in our group of 11 which I think was a perfect size after seeing some other tours whilst we were there in huge groups. Thank you for making exploring Pompeii so enjoyable and bringing the history to life!
