What are people saying about Pompeii

Book the private tour!
This private tour was an absolute standout highlight of our trip. Alona was our private tour guide and we felt so privileged to have her leading the way. Not only was Alona deeply educated and knowledgeable about all aspects of Pompeii, she was also very personable, warm, and easily adapted the tour to the topics that specifically piqued our interest. The tour was brim full of so many fascinating details, I learned far more than I expected to. I found myself having a very emotional reaction to the entire experience, and even cried a few times and embarrassed my teenage daughter! Haha It is 1000% worth booking the private tour rather than a “small” group tour. Alona was wonderful at steering us away from the and made every bit of our experience more intimate so that we could fully absorb what we were learning. Pompeii is an enormous archeological site, impossible to cover everything in one visit. I am already planning my next visit and can’t wait to return! Enjoy!!

Paolo was very...
Paolo was very knowledgeable and he kept us moving along at a great pace. It was extremely hot the day we did our tour (July 19, 2026). He was mindful of trying to get us situated in as many shady spots as he could while he shared his information and interesting tidbits. If you desire to see the ruins, I would recommend doing so with a guide, and Paolo would be a great choice.

Our tour guide Elisabetta...
Our tour guide Elisabetta did an amazing job leading us around the Pompeii ruins. She gave us lots of information in the amount of time we had to tour the ruins and gave her insight as an archaeologist. She was very kind and answered any questions we had about Pompeii and the city of Naples. I would recommend booking this if you are interested in the history of Naples as well as the Pompeii ruins.

Italo made our Pompeii tour amazing! 🔥
If you're touring Pompeii, ask for Italo. His passion for the place was obvious from the start, and it made the whole tour so much fun. By the end, we could actually identify the different types of buildings ourselves, which felt awesome. We never once felt rushed. It honestly felt like a good friend was showing us around, not just a guide reciting facts. Can't recommend Italo enough!

Pompeii is one of Italy’s most popular attractions, and the well-preserved buildings and roads of the city can give you a greater understanding of ancient Rome. Don’t miss out while in Italy—there are Pompeii day trips you can take from Naples or Rome, so you have a bit of flexibility with your itinerary. Some day-trip options pair Pompeii with another destination, such as the Amalfi Coast or the island of Capri, and some include an expert guide to help you make sense of the site's history.
