Our tour guide was Fredericka. Pompeii covers a lot of ground and she took us to many, many interesting sites. She’s a wealth of information and her English is very good. A great educator. At the end of the tour, we had a few questions and she answered them with pleasure. Highly recommend this tour and hope you have the fortune of getting Fredericka as your guide.
Sofia was fabulous! She had so much knowledge and planned a lovely trip! The ruins of Pompeii are worth a visit with a specialist!
A good tour. Very handy to skip the line. Meeting instructions were missed owing to so many repetitive contacts from Viator, but we made it there on time!
Visitors need to understand how busy the site is.
Viator need to tidy up their review form which has crashed and locked up - this is my third attempt. On one occasion my review was fine when typed then corrupted in the final version - fortunately I spotted the error before sending, as the comments had been diametrically changed.

Wonderful tour guide and the perfect pace for the day. Provided little ear pieces so we could all clearly hear her and communicate during the drink break. Very knowledgeable and approachable!!
Practical points first - carry water, use the toilet before you start. 3 hours is a long time although our guide (Sonia) made it fly by.

It is an amazing tour with lots of information - well worth having the guide otherwise it is just ruins. The guide really brought it to life.
It went at a good pace, with plenty of great information at each pause. It IS ancient Pompeii, so it was a bit tricky for my elderly mother, but she managed.
A great tour. Know that there are a lot of very uneven surfaces. Take water or a refillable container. Fresh water is available there.

We had a great, passionate, knowledgeable guide in Vincenzo, really enjoyed it and learned a lot more than we would’ve done on our own and didn’t have to navigate the streets to know where we were! Definitely recommend.

Very knowledgeable guide, interesting & engaging. Bought Pompeii to live for us on our 3 hour tour. Wear shoes your are happy to walk on uneven ground & check who your tour provider is before you meet them.
We arrived at the meeting point 15 minutes early as directed. There was no guide there at all. Did not receive any communication prior. There has also been no communication after I tried called and messaging. It is now 6 hours later than the scheduled time and no response. Had to book a tour on site at the train station.

Francesca, our tour guide was so great and engaging. I loved that she talked as we walked so there was not a lot of standing around still in the heat. My 17 year old said this was the best tour we took in Italy (and we took a lot). My only 2 complaints were that I do not care for the radio earpieces because they are very glitchy and as someone with hearing loss they aren’t always clear and when we arrived the Walks of Italy sign was not visible and we had a hard time finding the group.
Very knowledgeable guide. I learned a lot about the volcanic terrain and what archeologists have been able to determine about the lives of the people from the site.
This was such an incredible tour. Being with a private guide and skipping all the lines was worth every penny. Our guide was Vitelo and he was excellent. We were able to see so many fascinating places that we would have missed otherwise. Highly recommend doing this tour In Pompeii.

Exactly what we were looking for. Meeting place was clear, tour guide (Enzo) was passionate and engaging, leading us to all the key highlights of the ruins, as well as giving us tips for our own continued exploration after the tour. We were so glad we booked this!
It was an interesting tour but could have been an hour shorter. It was difficult to find the meeting point as it wasn’t clear in the instructions so we almost missed the tour.

Wonderful tour of a remarkable archeological site. Lots of walking a little shade so be prepared. Our guide was amazing and we would gladly go again!

Great tour. Would definitely recommend the guided tour. There was only four of us so it made things even better. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative as he was a qualified archaeologist. Truthfully he made the whole trip.
Excellent tour. Pompei is an amazing place that is huge, Brunella was a great tour guide who showed us the big popular bits and then for the second half showed us some of the quieter and more incredible parts.
Brilliant tour with enthusiastic and knowledgeable archaeologist guide. Gave insight to pompei and what it would have been like as a foreign sailor arriving before the eruption, the places they would have gone and what it would have been like. We could never have understood pompeii without this tour. Very good value for a small group (15) and amazing the day we went as only 4 of us! We saw lots of huge group tours going round and even with the full 15 this would have been so much better than the standard tours. Highly recommended.
Excellent Tour! The guide was fantastic and we were able to see a lot! It was very very easy to find the meet up location (just follow the directions sent in confirmation/voucher). Absolutely worth it!!
It was a fantastic walk through history. Sad to think about the tragic event but amazing to see what they have brought back to life!
