What are people saying about Oregon

This was a great...
This was a great experience. If you are a solo traveler this is a good option for a tour to see the Oregon coast. If you don’t have a rental car they provide transportation. I stayed at the Moxy hotel downtown Portland and was able to get picked up and dropped back off. I enjoyed It!

Wonderful Tour
This was a great tour. Michael was a great tour guide. He picked us up at our hotel in Portland and shared a lot of history about the area. We had stops at several waterfalls along the Columbia River and were able to take a 1/2 mile hike (this was optional) between 2 of the falls. We had enough time to stop for lunch in a cute little town on the river. We then traveled up Mount Hood and stopped at the Timberline Lodge. It was a full day.

Mother Nature Defeated
It was a cold and rainy day for a visit to Mt Hood and surrounding waterfalls. HOWEVER, our guide David made it work to our advantage. He took his approach shot first and ended up driving the tour home. Just by a little rearranging the day was saved and sights were seen. Yes it was overcast but not the tour company’s doing. All in all we got our money’s worth and saw the most beautiful vistas throughout the tour. David was awesome and adjusted tour and trip back into the city with ease and confidence. Saw some if Portland not on the tour!

There be falls!
We saw five beautiful waterfalls! Most required short, easy walks on well maintained trails. We had some rain, but the driver/guide provided umbrellas. We wore lite weight hiker shoes. They were better than sneakers because of the wet conditions. Even without the rain the trails are damp so good gripping footwear is best. Loved it! Our driver - guide provided good historical background and some geology. Very interesting and entertaining!

Most of Oregon is a giant outdoor playground, from the Pacific Ocean beaches (100 percent of which are public) to the mountains of the Cascade Range and the high desert in the eastern part of the state. There are Oregon tours that highlight all of these wonders—and more. Even from a base in metropolitan Portland, full-day excursions let you explore the Columbia River Gorge, visit the coast, or hike up the state’s tallest mountain. Between outdoor activities, you can also go wine or beer tasting and sample some of Oregon’s best eats.
