What are people saying about Normandy

Our guide, Remi, was...
Our guide, Remi, was fantastic. He had so much information about D-Day and the actual Band of Brothers easy Company. He used a portfolio of photographs to help tell the story at each and every stop. Many tales of incredible heroism and sacrifice as well as stories of personal bonding.

Honfleur and Deuville are...
Honfleur and Deuville are beautiful cities. I love the itinerary of this excursion. There was plenty of time to enjoy the places we visited like the boardwalk and have some very good crepes in Deuville. It was market day when we were in Honfleur and the city was bustling with vendors and tourists. Our tour guide Lawrence shared interesting information about the two cities we visited as well as some history of France. He was a great tour guide, very professional and knowledgeable.

Normandy
Very informative and also humbling understanding the history of Normandy and the battles it took to win the D-Day invasion. The US cemetery was so awesome in a bittersweet way. So clean, maintained perfectly with such honor to the fallen warriors. God bless them all!

The only way to visit Mont St Michel
One of the best guided tours we have ever done. Manon was an amazing guide & somehow made us feel like we were not part of the huge crowd. Her knowledge was incredible & we took side lanes & less used paths with stops so strategically placed that we hardly noticed the hundreds of steps. We have a much better appreciation of this amazing place than we could have achieved in any other way.

DDay walking in the footsteps of history
wear comfy shoes and layers as weather is changeable at the different locations. take a drink and small snack with you as it is a busy itinerary. you will stand where the landings happened and really get a sense of the scale of the defensive position and how challenging that was to overcome. the cemetery is surprisingly beautiful and so well cared for. if you have ever watched a film about DDay you will recognise place names and if you haven’t then you should before or after the trip. having a guide who has thoroughly researched the events and personal stories made the experience. we were in a group of 8 made up of 4 couples- from Scotland, Ireland, Sweden and USA so a very mixed group and we all found it superb.

Going to Normandy in style
We felt like VIP. We were escorted by the driver to a hangar behind a secret door of the cruise terminal. The driver looked dashing in his suit which matched his spiffy Mercedes sedan. He supplied water and turned on his fancy lights that made the interior look like a nightclub.
The driver was very eager to please, he even took us to his favorite restaurant where he was interpreting the menu for us. He spoke many languages beautifully. We were done with our D-Day Normandy tour in 5 hours.
The first thing I would recommend for him is to have a sign with the clients name and not to wear cologne. I actually got car sick because I am sensitive to smells. Other than that, it was perfect!

We had a fantastic tour...
We had a fantastic tour with Norman and our bus driver Patrick. We booked it as a shore excursion and the meeting place was right outside the cruise terminal in Cherbourg and made it back to the ship in plenty of time. We were able to view the 11:30 wreath ceremony at the American Cemetery and it was very moving. I would highly recommend this tour.

To walk in the actual footsteps of greatness
Julien is an exceptional guide and an accomplished student of art history. He taught us about Monet the man by telling us the story of his life and guiding us to stand in the places where he lived, was inspired, created his works, and died. It was a peak behind the curtain that allowed us to walk in the actual footsteps of the man. Being guided to stand in and see a glimpse of Monet's world, I now see his work with a far deeper appreciation for the genius of his impressionistic expression of his vision on canvas. Thank you, Julien.

A wonderful experience
A wonderful activity from start to finish! Super easy pickup from the train station in a small group format. The stops were well planned and thoughtful in their story telling. Irene our guide was fantastic! She is extremely knowledgeable and delivered the stories in an impactful and entertaining manner.
Be prepared for various weather fronts!

DDay remembered thanks to a wonderful guide
What a great experience with the help of our guide Lucy. From pickup to drop off nothing was missed and in a challenging overly busy period we met our objective of getting to each site for experience that I was looking for. Our guide was informative, pleasant, and really took care to make sure each member of the group was able to enjoy all of the locations we wanted to see and come away with a great memory. What made it impactful is the guide truly cared for each person and saw we were not lost in all the busy activities which brings perhaps the most people to DDay celebration in Normandie. Highly recommend the company and the guide and to do the tour b if you want to avoid crowds choose a day other than June 6. But we managed well. Bring attire for the weather as we experienced three seasons in one day. Thank you Lucy

This tour of Omaha Beach,...
This tour of Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, and the American Cemetery was very informative and well organized. The guide provided a lot of interesting historical background and explained the significance of each location clearly. Visiting these sites in person was a memorable experience, and the tour was paced well throughout the day. I would highly recommend this tour.

British Normandy Beaches Tour
We were collected at Bayeux train station by Emanuel and were lucky enough to be the only people on the tour. As we were talking about history in the minibus, Emanuel made an extra stop and showed us where William the Conquerer was buried. We then continued to the Pegasus bridge and museum and it was completely up to us how long we stayed there.
We visited the war burial sites and the landing beach. Emanuel had photos to show us and lots of knowledge and we all had an enjoyable afternoon. We also asked to be dropped back into the centre of Bayeux so we could have a look around, which he was happy to do - great service and excellent English

Not seeing something you are looking for?
World War II history, UNESCO-listed monuments, Belle Epoque beach resorts, and medieval cities: Normandy has it all, and you’ll only scratch the surface of what this region offers on Normandy day trips. With just one day, focus your explorations on a particular area or sight, whether visiting France’s most famous island monastery, following the path of Allied soldiers at the D-Day beaches, or hopping between the picturesque coastal towns of the North. Normandy is close enough to Paris to be a day-trip destination, but you’ll be able to see even more if you start from Bayeux or Le Havre.
