Penguins, Pisco, and Dune Surfing Oh My
My wife and I had a wonderful time on this full day tour out of Lima. We loved the spotting penguins, red shrimp, and sea lion pups on our boat ride in Paracas. Nietto vineyards was a wonderful lunch break comprised of good food and excellent pisco tastings. Our favorite part of the day was the dune bugging, sand boarding, and watching the sunset set in the sand dunes of Huacachina. Shout out to our tour guide Luis for being a rockstar

Franklin was great! Very...
Franklin was great! Very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. Huacachina sand boarding was definitely the highlight!! So fun!! Las Ballastas islands boat tour was underwhelming and the vineyard was run down. But good way to break up the day. Lunch at the vineyard was good. I would have rather gone straight to Huacachina, sand boarded and dune buggy ride, then lunch, and then ride and board again. Didn’t see that offered.

Lima food tour
The tour was food oriented but also incorporated a tour of the area with a history lesson as well. Each stop was educational and delicious. The tour was well organized and each stop was waiting for us. The food was plentifully. We went hungry and left filled. We thought it was a pricey tour when we booked it but it proved to be a value based on the number of stops and amount of food. Highly recommended.

Worth the long drive
We had a great day with the tour. The drive to Caral is long, taking about 3-4 hours each way, but the trip is worth it. The ruins have very few visitors. It’a a hidden gem in the desert that is rich in history. Our tour guide Johanna was wonderful. We never heard of Caral prior to booking this tour, but we are so glad we decided to go!

Lima’s central location in Peru makes it the ideal base for exploring the surrounding landscapes, comprising rugged coastlines, desert dunes, and snow-capped peaks. Lima day trips save you hours of planning by taking care of tickets, tours, and transport, so you can sit back and soak up the scenery rather than navigating public transport and struggling with a different language. Within day-tripping distance of the capital, you’ll find mystical stone forests, an acid-green desert oasis, and Pacific Ocean islands inhabited by sea lions.
