- It is really important to advise any specific dietary restrictions at time of booking (vegetarian, vegan, gluten, allergies, etc.), otherwise we cannot assure to adapt the menu the day of the tour.
- Vegetarian and vegan options are limited in Peru. If you expect a balanced menu protein wise, please do not book. There won't be tofu nor lentils, and eggs are not widely used in preparations.
- Please note guides will not be providing their service in multiple languages simultaneously. Make sure you book the right tour/language
- Pick up and drop off not included. Private tours with transportation available on the Exquisito Perú website.
- We won't wait for latecomers more than 5 mins past the tour start time.
- If you have a severe nuts allergy, please do not book this tour, as cross contamination can happen with certain foods included in the tour.

I had a great experience on this Peruvian food tour with our wonderful guide, Valeria Adela Novoa Castro. The tour began at the operator’s office with an engaging presentation on key ingredients of the Peruvian kitchen, plus a tasting of chocolates made from cacao grown at different altitudes. From there we moved from restaurant to restaurant on a perfectly organized schedule—every stop was expecting us.
Hygiene standards were excellent, and since we visited proper restaurants rather than street stalls, I felt completely comfortable enjoying dishes like ceviche, where freshness is essential. Everything we tasted was delicious. We also got to watch preparation demonstrations, including lomo saltado, which was especially impressive.
This tour is on the pricier side, but given the quality, variety, and professionalism, it’s worth it. I ended the evening very full and very happy.

SO GOOD. Paola is the best ever highly highly recommend. This is not just a food tour, it is art culture, food, all of it! The food is also delicious and the tour is structured so well. I learned so much about Peruvian culture and history and felt so engrossed in it. Also an amazing tour in the super cool neighborhood of barranco. This is such a wondering tour I highly recommend.

The tour was food oriented but also incorporated a tour of the area with a history lesson as well. Each stop was educational and delicious. The tour was well organized and each stop was waiting for us. The food was plentifully. We went hungry and left filled. We thought it was a pricey tour when we booked it but it proved to be a value based on the number of stops and amount of food. Highly recommended.

This tour was a great introduction to Lima and traditional Peruvian foods. Marcos also incorporated lots of interesting history about the mixing of cultures that is reflected in the food. Highly recommend - we had a wonderful time!

This was one of the best experiences we have gone on! It was amazing time getting to eat all the local foods at various places. Had the best empanada of my life! Getting to see ceviche be made, meat dishes be made, and pie o sours be made was a great experience and something very different than I have done before. Paola was our guide and she was amazing. She not only discussed the food but key monuments and buildings along the way. Would 1000% recommend!

Paula, our guide, was friendly. We had fruits, beef hearts, lomo salado, ceviche, coffee, pisco sour, and ice cream. But I was not wowed by any of them. By the price of the tour, I would expect high end food

We had an amazing time with David and the other people on food tour. David had so much insight into the places and the people we visited that it made it feel even more special. The food and drinks were great and watching the chefs/bartenders make everything was wonderful. We were lucky enough to be the only two participants on this tour with a wonderful guide, Aura. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, providing lots of information and answering all of our questions about the unique food. The best part was being able to meet and talk with the chefs/bartenders at various stops. Since we were the only participants and speak Spanish, we were able to get a lot of extra insight from the tour. The food was all excellent and we left being very full. I highly recommend!

Excellent tour, great food and history and cultural info along the way. There are some steps, curbs, and bumpy roads so not perfect for those with mobility concerns. Otherwise 10/10.

Our Lima food tour with David was fantastic from start to finish. He began with a great introduction to the history of Peruvian cuisine, which made each stop even more meaningful at the office/shop.
The cafe was a warm start, the stir-fried beef with Peruvian flavors was delicious . The next stop provided us with seabass ceviche was incredibly fresh and unforgettable. The pisco sour was truly an experience on its own at the local bar and sandwich spot.
Ending at Blu with locally inspired fruit creations was the perfect finale.
David was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the entire experience seamless. Highly recommend!

This tour was an amazing experience! The tour guided us through a typical Peruvian breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, and included a Pisco sour at an old school bar! Definitely come hungry! I liked how the tour was spaced out with breaks to learn about the history and view the street art of Barranco to give ourselves a chance to digest. It was also super neat to watch the cooking demonstrations of Lomo saltado and ceviche! Lastly, our tour guide, Paola, was an absolute delight! She was full of knowledge and was so personable.
