What are people saying about Istanbul

Would recommend over and over again!
We had the most wonderful time with Esra! We have done other cooking classes before but nothing compared to the warmth we felt during this experience. Esra was extremely welcoming and kind and prepared a menu for us that exceeded our expectations. Communication was wonderful prior to meeting and once there conversation with her was excellent. She recommended places for us to try while in Istanbul and we are truly grateful! We absolutely loved the experience!

A highlight of our Istanbul trip, and wonderful with kids
We did a Turkish delight workshop at Little Hagia Sophia, and it was one of the best things we did in Istanbul. It takes place inside the courtyard, in the old medrese cells, which is a beautiful and peaceful setting. It's run by Burga and his anne (mother), and their warmth made us feel like guests in their home rather than customers.
What stood out most was the attention they gave our 12-year-old daughters. Burga and his anne were patient with our daughters
It's a personal experience, away from the crowds, in a place full of history. Highly recommended for families, and for anyone who wants to meet local people and learn something truly Turkish. Teşekkürler, Burga and anne, for such a special time!

Coffee and Conversation
Despite being the only guest registered for this workshop, Cameron warmly welcomed me. I enjoyed the photo-driven history he provided about Turkish coffee. I had an opportunity to try both traditional Turkish coffee and a pistachio version which I did not know existed and was tasty. Outside of coffee, Cameron and I engaged in discussions about our respective native countries and cultures. Cameron’s English is very good which was a rarity during my personal experience in Istanbul.

Such a Fun and Creative Experience
This was such a fun experience and definitely one of my favorite activities in Istanbul. I arrived a little early, and they were kind enough to let me get started early, which I really appreciated. I loved getting to choose the colors and design for my lamp and then actually put everything together myself. The class was easy to follow, really relaxing, and a nice break from sightseeing. I also loved that you leave with something you actually made, so it feels like a really special souvenir from the trip instead of just something you bought. I would definitely recommend this class if you’re looking for something creative and memorable to do in Istanbul.

Excellent way to try traditional Turkish food where the locals go
Excellent way to try traditional Turkish food and on the way learn some interesting facts about Turkey’s history and Istanbul. Our guide Erol was fantastic, explaining everything as we want sling and answering all out questions. We had so much to eat, our walk back from the finishing point was needed afterwards. We highly recommend.

A refreshing change from the typical touristy experience.
We had a wonderful time visiting Ozge at her home and learning to cook several Turkish dishes. This was a very non-touristy experience and a refreshing change from the typical visit to buildings and monuments. Ozge is a delightful, down-to-earth person and we had a marvelous time sharing stories, cooking, and eating a delicious lunch. We highly recommend this experience for a glimpse into a regular Turkish home and neighborhood.

Very unique and...
Very unique and interesting activity – perfect to soak in some local culture. The workshop started with some historical background and everything was explained very well with a lot of patience. It’s also a good activity for getting to know new people.
Thank you a lot!

Fun and engaging way to caffeinate your day!
Petek does a great job of ensuring you know how to locate the class space. She walked us through the history of coffee and the important role it played in Turkish history and how it was shared with Europe. She made the knowledge sharing fun and engaging. I really enjoyed the class and my first self brewed Turkish coffee was delicious.
