Ku'ia Estate Cacao Tour was well worth it!
The tour was well organized and very enjoyable, starting with a free "flight" of chocolate mini bars (alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks available, along with more chocolate choices). We had chocolate shakes, which were excellent! The tour was conducted via a van ride, so the group wasn't very large, enough to be practical but not so big as to be crowded.. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable (Nicole, from Ireland), and gave us excellent information about the cacao industry, the farm/plantation, the company, its founder and his vision. We learned about growing practices and how the beans are processed, including not just the Maui plantation but other, big chocolate producers like Hershey's and Nestle's. There was a short walk among the plants with a chance to taste some of the cacao while seeing how it is grown, and then a stop at an elevated chocolate bar with a nice view across the channel from other islands. There, we sampled 9 different chocolate bars, including sugar free, which was much better than expected. Back to the van and back to the store where we had the opportunity to buy some of the chocolate we had sampled.
You will get more than an adequate fill of chocolate during the tour, so anything beyond the free flight while waiting for the tour to start is kind of overkill. The tour was informative and enjoyable, and the hour and a half went by quite quickly. I learned more about chocolate than I ever imagined, and really appreciate the practices of the Ku'ia Estate in producing a first class product. We brought home more chocolate than I ever have before just to spoil family and friends with some very excellent chocolate products. If I return to Maui in the future, I will definitely make a stop at the store for another shake and more superb chocolate.

This is the only Road to Hana tour you should take!
Lisa is DA BEST tour guide! I’ve taken many tours in different countries, and she is #1. She is kind, caring, and knows the road and locals well. She treats you like family and makes sure you have a memorable tour. Although the tour has a set number of stops, Lisa was willing to make several stops at local vendors. These stops included 3 different banana bread stands, a fruit stand, and ice cream. I appreciate not only her hospitality but her openness in sharing her love for the island with us. Forget all the other Road to Hana tours and take this one by Lisa!

Had fun on The Road to Hana with Levi!
We had a great time on the Road to Hana with our personal guide Levi. He made it more of an adventure for us we felt young again. He picked us up at our hotel and he was knowledgeable about the island of Maui. He took us to some cool spots where we were able to cliff jump. We ate lunch at a local road side BBQ and tasted some chocolate and had the best jerky and banana bread along the way. We enjoyed swimming at Hamoa Beach and watching some of the best surfing at Ho’okipa Beach. Levi was very accommodating, polite, and fun to be around. I’m glad we decided on having a personal guide that safely drove us to see the sights on The Road to Hana. I’m still smiling thinking about our adventure that day it made our visit to Maui fun!

Wonderful Circle Island Tour with Steven!
We had an amazing time on our Circle Island Tour with Steven! He was patient, kind, friendly, and made sure we had a wonderful experience. He took us to so many beautiful and interesting spots around the island, giving us plenty of opportunities to explore, take pictures, and enjoy the beauty of Hawaii. His warm personality and patience made the tour even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated his hospitality and would highly recommend Steven to anyone visiting Hawaii. Mahalo, Steven, for helping make our Hawaiian vacation so memorable! 🌺

Great way to spend a 12 hour day!
Todd our guide was awesome very informative!
We went to all the best sites saw some honu(sea turtles) at the black sand beach, went to volcanoes National park, steam vents, Lava tube went back to Kīlauea at sunset and we got to see it spurt out a bit of lava! Then on to the stargazing! Todd was very informative of the constellations, we saw the Milky Way with our naked eye, 4 shooting stars and we saw Saturn with his telescope. He had jackets for those who needed them it got quite cold 45°at time of stargazing so dress in layers or bring warm clothes to change into.

Great day heading to Hana
My husband and I really enjoyed our Road to Hana tour today with Chad. He is a truly pleasant and engaging tour leader with lots of knowledge to share about the local area. He is clearly a capable driver too.
Swimming at the black sand beach in Hana was a highlight for me. The water was so beautiful and refreshing. The banana bread at Aunty Sandy’s was crazy good. Lunch at the farm was very good too. The only caution I have is that the back two rows of the van are a bit tight on leg room. As the last pickup of the morning, we got the last two available seats. If you are a tall person, you really need to be sitting in the front row. I’m not tall and my knees were right up on the seat in front of me.

Excellent tour, thanks to Dao!
I’ve never come across a guide quite like him—so knowledgeable, artistic, a perfect communicator, kind, an entertainer, and an excellent safe driver. Believe me, I’ve taken many tours, and I’m 69 years old.
He was incredibly patient and made me feel relaxed and happy throughout the tour. He was very knowledgeable about not only the places we visited but also had a wealth of knowledge about Hawaii’s history. He shared his knowledge in a very fun way. He was very pleasant even in early morning and very patient with driving. He made me feel safe, yet he started and finished the tour right on time. He was also very artistic and took a photo per my request that really impressed me.
I could write about my joyful ride forever, but I don’t want to make it too long. Just have to say, Dao, you must have a very high IQ, in addition to your artistic side, to be able to do all of that in such a perfect way. You really impressed me! Thank you for everything you did!

Kauai Self-Driving Tour
We appreciated the extra commentary about the area as we drove through Kauai. It was helpful in pointing out must do attractions while emphasizing certain areas that could present driving challenges, etc. We appreciated the assistance. There were a couple of places where the instruction to turn came as we were passing the turn requiring us to double back. But, that only happened a couple of times so it didn’t cause too much of an issue. Overall, the experience was very positive..

It was a lot of fun. From...
It was a lot of fun. From start till the end Rose, Armani and Caitlin made us feel at ease. I’m there to watched my GS Draven enjoy, but I enjoyed it too as I realized I had to put my full trust in these three amazing instructors. Highly recommend to those families with young kids

Loved the whale watching tour!
What a great experience! Aiden (sp?) and his crew did a fantastic job finding whales and dolphins to see. Aiden delivered information about the whales with humor and knowledge. Also the music onboard was great. What more could you ask for…beautiful water, whale and dolphin sightings and a great crew to make it a memorable experience for my family. Highly recommend this excursion. Thank you!

Whale Jail
I do not want to oversell this adventure, but it was an experience of a lifetime. Capt Marco and mate DeVante were fun and informative. The ride was not super rough despite being in a smaller vessel. According to Marco, we were in "whale jail" as we were surrounded by multiple whales and had to stay put as to not cause any injury to our rather large friends by starting our engines. We saw these whales closer than I thought possible. The wife was a little freaked out as their size is intimidating when that close. They truly are gently giants. It was amazing. I would load some pictures and video from our adventure but you would be disappointed if your tour did not have the same result. We have been on whale watching tours before and seeing, even at a distance, is a sight to behold. DO this tour if you do nothing else.
