Must do lagoon tour in Bora Bora

A fantastic trip, snorkeling with rays and sharks then out in the ocean for a different scene and then we went and snorkeling in the coral gardens which was amazing! We finished with a wonderful meal and demonstration on making things from palm leaves. The guides entertained us and gave us n educational tour along the way!

Great Snorkeling Visit to Bora Bora

This was a tour we booked for our cruise ship stop in Bora Bora in early June 2026. Malakai was our guide and boat captain and did a great job with both. He was very energetic, friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining. He was a real life Maui from Moana, and took good care of us. On the tour, we stopped to snorkel and see sting rays and blacktip sharks. At another snorkeling stop, we saw beautiful coral. He also provided us with a boat tour around the island of Bora Bora showing us the airport and the various overwater bungalow locations. Throughout the tour he regaled us with several singing and ukulele performances. This was a great tour.

The captain and partner were knowledgeable and were able to find the manta rays, sting rays, and sharks. Also the coral reef was pretty cool. The weather wasn’t fully cooperative but they made it a fun experience. A group canceled right before the start time so we got to have a “private tour”!

CAUTION: May Cause Permanent Happiness!

What a breathtaking excursion this turned out to be. We were greeted at the end of the Viatape Pier where tendered I to from our cruise ship. Several uniformed crew wearing Moana Adventure Tour shirts had us wait on a water taxi in the shade until our entire group was ready to go. We zipped across the water to where the Jet Skis were. There we were greeted by Tima! He was an incredible host and so down to earth. He got us geared up and we got loaded into the Jet Skis. After some hand signal and operation training we started flying across the ocean in our Jet skis. For 2 hours we went all around Bora Bora doing donuts, splashing waves, spotting sting rays and other sea life before stopping on a smaller island where we husked coconuts by hand and learned how to drink fresh coconut milk the way Tahitians do. It was the most spectacular excursion ever and should come with a warning. My face hurt from smiling too dang much and I cannot wait to visit and do it again. Do yourself a favor and book this tour if you think you can handle the happiness you will incur. PS - After our excursion, the team gave us the option to go hang out at the beach instead of going back to the ship. It was perfect and I ly cost $5 to return to the ship via the regular beach shuttles.

Bora bora activity center did an amazing job makeing sure we were fully taken care of. We had mana as our atv guide he was awesome and went into great detail explaining the rich history of the island and it people. For our seadoo trip we had heiki and he did an amazing job as well showing us around the island. Taking us to the motu lunch which was so delicious overall 5+ stars for a excellent experience around the island.

Terrific experience. Mo was a great and fun guide. All stops were in the lagoon, and you do circle the whole island for different views. When choosing an excursion, figure out your priorities (I had two days and did two excursions). All of them do the stingray/shark stop that is cool (everything gets so close in those shallows— bring underwater camera), a snorkel spot, AND this one started with a stop at a cleaning station where we spotted a manta ray (not all tours in Bora Bora off this stop). Highly recommend! FYI: Picked up at cruise tender spot for brief drive (boat dropped off after tour.)

Snorkeling in Paradise — An Afternoon to Remember

Three snorkeling stops this afternoon in the lagoon off Bora Bora, run by a captain who was originally French and is now, correctly, French Polynesian. He knew exactly where to go and exactly what he was looking at when we got there — not the scripted enthusiasm of a tour guide, but the specific knowledge of someone who actually lives inside this ecosystem and wants you to understand why it matters. The speedboat circuit around the island set the table — volcanic peaks, that impossible lagoon color, vantage points you don’t get from shore. Then three separate sites, each with its own character. Coral formations in full health, fish doing fish things in every direction. And then the things you can’t plan for: a manta ray moving underneath us like it had nowhere particular to be, and a moray eel threaded through the coral reminding everyone that this isn’t a theme park. Each stop earned its place. Nothing redundant. The afternoon was structured the way a good argument is structured — each section building on the last, the conclusion obvious in retrospect.

AWESOME Bora Bora Snorkeling Trip! Thank you, Manu!

Manu, our guide, made the experience perfect! He shared his knowledge of the area, the history, geography, his sense of humor and his musical talents. Manu absolutely stopped in the most stunning spots. He mentioned at the start of our tour that morning that we had a 10% chance of seeing a Manta ray. The videos of the Manta ray are spectacular - as if the Manta ray was paid to pose for me. The stingrays and black tip reef sharks were quite comfortable passing by me so my video was impressive. Manu's instructions provided the just-in-time expertise I needed to fully enjoy the experience. Would I book another snorkeling tour with Manu - tomorrow, if I could! I've been back home now for two weeks and I'm still re-watching the videos and pictures I took.

Perfect family day with manta rays, eagles rays and even a seahorse！

We had an absolutely amazing time on the Reef Discovery tour! Our family, from grandparents to kids, loved every second of it. The highlights were definitely swimming with the manta rays, eagle rays, stingrays, and even lemon sharks—but the magic moment was finding a seahorse in the coral garden! A huge thank you to our guide, who was incredibly attentive and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable, especially the non-swimmers in our group. It made all the difference for the grandparents and little ones to be able to enjoy this experience without any worry. It’s not often you find a tour that perfectly balances adventure with safety, but this one nailed it. Highly recommended for families

Booking c is easy. They are very responsive, tell you what to expect for pickup and during your dive. Got picked up promptly at the St Gegis dock and zipped to the dive boat. English is not an issue. Very good safety briefing. Entry into and exit from the water is easy. The ladder extends quite far into the water. Lots of colorful fish, the pet ray, all very cool. You get a mesh pouch with an over ripe banana in it. Shake the bag, little chunks of banana come out and you are SWARMED with fish. Once in the water all you have to do is breathe normally. No technique, no skills, no need to even know how to swim. A wonderful experience. The diver takes pics during your dive which you can review right on the boat. The entire package was $95 US which is a very good deal. Got the pics via email the next day and there were 35 I think. This is a must do experience.
