Our visits to pearl and vanilla farms are carefully selected according to hospitality, language and product quality – so far nothing exceptional. Just a fabulous day with our skipper and guide, Jimmy. Our cruise ship docked in Raiatea. The tour boat met us at the pier just a 5 minute walk away. The boat is well designed with easy entry from docks at the side of the vessel or from the stern down a ladder into the water. Seating was cushioned and comfortable. The young people on the tour lounged on the outrigger trampoline. We did six things: 1. Visit to a pearl farm where we got a great explanation of how Tahitian pearls are created. Beautiful jewelry was available for purchase, but no pressure to do so 2. Drift snorkel at the coral garden. We anchored on the inside, walked along the shore to the channel entrance, then drift snorkelled back through the channel. No fins needed or even desired. Just water shoes for the shore walk. The channel is zigzagged, so following your guide is important. Good coral, colourful fish including a lion fish, colourful clams. A wonderful snorkel experience. 3. A rum distillery tour. A good informative tour. Interesting, and neither of us are rum drinkers. 4. A second snorkel stop. Highlight was many reef sharks. 5. Lunch on a motu with very generous portions of local cuisine in an idyllic setting. 6. Tour of a vanilla farm. Very detailed and interesting explanation of the 4 years it takes to grow a vanilla bean. Vanilla beans and products for sale, again with no pressure to do so. So, a full day, but relaxed and never a feeling at any stop of being rushed. A great tour. Back to the dock in plenty of time to board our ship. Hats off to Jimmy.

Such a wonderful experience.

Oh what a call experience this was. Not what I was picturing when I booked this, but it turned out to be one our favorite adventures. Between the beautiful drift snorkeling to the lunch (which was so incredibly yummy) where we sat in the water with black tip reef sharks, to the incredible should I say comedy cultural show, to the beautiful vanilla plantation, it was a wonderful day had by all.

Absolutely the best tour we have ever taken through Viator! Tea was fun, professional, knowledgeable and really made sure we were comfortable and safe. At the end of the tour we felt like family. Incredible Jet Ski Adventure in Taha’a!

Booking this jet ski excursion through Viator was hands-down one of the best decisions of our NCL cruise stop in Taha’a. From the moment we hit the water, the views were absolutely breathtaking — crystal-clear turquoise lagoons, vibrant coral reefs visible right beneath us, and Bora Bora’s iconic silhouette in the distance. He went above and beyond, climbing up to grab us fresh coconuts that we got to eat right there on the water, and showing us how to feed the fish. Excellent Excursion of Tahaa

This is an excellent excursion. We were able to see and enjoy the highlights of Taha’a. The tour provider was responsive to messages prior to the trip. We arrived by cruise ship and it was easy to find the operator. All of the stops are beautiful and there is enough time to enjoy each of them without feeling rushed. Raiatea to Taha’a drift

Great 1/2 day from Raiatea. The boat left on time and took about 40min to get to the site. We did the snorkel twice. The guide was very good. No need for flippers just reef shoes. We took our own mask and snorkel but they have them if you don’t. We had bananas and cake on the boat after.

Best island experience

Excellent day on the water with our tuna fisherman guide. He was amazing! He educated us on the culture and history of the islands. Most beautiful scenery, crystal clear water with sea life caught in action. Took us out of the way to see manta rays, stingrays, tortoises, and eagle rays. Genuinely a great guy! Pearl farm experience was very informative.

Excellent guide well prepared with rain jackets for us all. Stopped at a pearl farm which was educational. Did a drift snorkel which was wonderful. Strong current but with a guide in front and in the back everyone did great. They showed us various types of coral and fish. Small group of 5 made for a great experience.
