All Raiatea Tours & Excursions in 2026

We went to a neighboring island and snorkled in the reef. We saw many colorful & beautiful fish, large clams, and sea cucumbers. It was wonderful!! Then we stopped on another reef and saw black tipped reef sharks. The hosts were great at pointing things out. We highly recommend this experience!

Easy booking through Viator. The guide met us at the port of our ship (Windstar) and walked us to where the jetski was anchored. The we rode the jetski to his base and picked up another person that wanted the ride experience without having to drive it. So it felt like a private tour. The Coral gardens were amazing. Icing on the cake was seeing a whale breach while riding. Everyone should experience this awesome tour.

The Boat captain and our English speaking guide Vincent were so knowledgeable and made this excursion amazing! We began from the dock, cruising through the beautiful blue turquoise waters towards the entrance of the river. The river was loaded with beautiful scenery, plant life, and landscape. From there, we went to a gorgeous lush botanical garden area that we were able to walk around for a while and check out. It was beautiful. I would recommend this for anyone that wants to get a nice taste of the beautiful landscape the Island has to offer.

A wonderful and very well-guided kayaking tour on the Faaroa River. The beautiful surroundings felt almost like being on the Amazon – lush, peaceful and incredibly atmospheric. Our guide was very attentive and made sure that everything was safe and well organised throughout the tour. As I was travelling alone, I was also very happy to be paired with a lovely person to share a kayak with, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The pick-up from my accommodation, arranged by the operator, worked perfectly and made the whole experience very easy and stress-free. A beautiful experience on Raiatea that I would highly recommend.

Just a fabulous day with our skipper and guide, Jimmy. Our cruise ship docked in Raiatea. The tour boat met us at the pier just a 5 minute walk away. The boat is well designed with easy entry from docks at the side of the vessel or from the stern down a ladder into the water. Seating was cushioned and comfortable. The young people on the tour lounged on the outrigger trampoline. We did six things: 1. Visit to a pearl farm where we got a great explanation of how Tahitian pearls are created. Beautiful jewelry was available for purchase, but no pressure to do so 2. Drift snorkel at the coral garden. We anchored on the inside, walked along the shore to the channel entrance, then drift snorkelled back through the channel. No fins needed or even desired. Just water shoes for the shore walk. The channel is zigzagged, so following your guide is important. Good coral, colourful fish including a lion fish, colourful clams. A wonderful snorkel experience. 3. A rum distillery tour. A good informative tour. Interesting, and neither of us are rum drinkers. 4. A second snorkel stop. Highlight was many reef sharks. 5. Lunch on a motu with very generous portions of local cuisine in an idyllic setting. 6. Tour of a vanilla farm. Very detailed and interesting explanation of the 4 years it takes to grow a vanilla bean. Vanilla beans and products for sale, again with no pressure to do so. So, a full day, but relaxed and never a feeling at any stop of being rushed. A great tour. Back to the dock in plenty of time to board our ship. Hats off to Jimmy.

Snorkeling like I have never experienced. Shark stop there were 10-15 calmly swimming around us, first snorkeling spot huge corals and plentiful fish and the .oat friendly day ever. Vanilla farm was really interesting and prices were good. Lunch on the motu was excellent. Best pineapple ever. Pearl farm was interesting but prices were high. Beautiful real stuff so if you have the budget excellent. Last snorkeling was a standout amazing experience. Walked up to the head of the coral garden where the current runs through and we jumped in a drifted down the most amazing coral garden. Stopped and fed fish bananas and they went wild. The guide was excellent and always in the water with us. The captain though was something special he has the best energy and enthusiasm. Definitely appreciated both of them. Would do this again in a heartbeat

Great 1/2 day from Raiatea. The boat left on time and took about 40min to get to the site. We did the snorkel twice. The guide was very good. No need for flippers just reef shoes. We took our own mask and snorkel but they have them if you don’t. We had bananas and cake on the boat after.

I’ve travelled all my life and done many adventurous things but this was by far the best. The pick up vehicle leaves a lot to be desired but the three guys George x 2 and Jeremy were great. The views were spectacular and were so beautiful they brought tears to my eyes. Don’t even think about it, just book it
