What are people saying about Bucharest

Great Tour
Marius picked us up from our hotel and drove us to various places around Bucharest. First was a Jewish cemetery where 30,000 Jews are buried from the 1800s to 2000s. We went to a synagogue and heard from a man whose family lived here during the war and communist period, then a former synagogue now museum and finally a Holocaust memorial. Marius was engaging and he had researched much about the various periods of Romania’s Jewish life.

A great day in Romania.
The day was wonderful staring with bright sun and brilliant blue sky. Bogden was a fantastic host! Communication was easy before and during the excursion. The 3 hour ride was very comfortable for 4 of us in the SUV. He spoke excellent English and freely shared his experiences as we drove through the Romanian countryside. Peles Castle was beautiful. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly answering all of our questions.
Bran Castle was very commercialized and touristy. Would not go back. However, Bogden took us to a wonderful traditional Romanian restaurant for lunch in Sanaia
Our experience ended with a brief visit to Brasov- a lively town with wonderful cafes and historic church and buildings.
Overall, a perfect day which I would highly recommend.

A great Bucharest Tour
Mihai was an excellent guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, not only of the Communist era, but all Bulgarian history as well as Bucharest landmarks. In addition, Mihai has a very winning personality and he operated at a very comfortable pace. We would highly recommend this tour.

We had a fantastic tour...
We had a fantastic tour of Bucharest with our private guide Radu. His wealth of knowledge of Bucharest and all of Romania was incredible. He shared so much history about the city. He was friendly and he answered all our questions. Highly recommend him to anyone visiting Bucharest!

A Perfect Day in Transylvania with Alex
We had a wonderful day touring Bran Castle, Brașov, and the Liberty Bear Refuge. Our guide, Alex, was excellent—knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive throughout the day. We had plenty of time at each location and never felt rushed, which made the experience very enjoyable.
A special thank-you to Alex for going the extra mile and taking us to Peleș Castle as well, even though it wasn’t included in the tour. That was a fantastic unexpected addition and really made the day even more memorable. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Alex as your guide!

One of a kind in the dark side of Romania
It was thrilling getting to know about stories, traditions and myths of Romanian ghosts, superstitions and witchcraft. Our host, Ali, was patient and informative, most of all engaging. She welcomed every question and provided meticulous insights on the stories as she highlighted skillfully each aspect of the stories. Would recommend it definitely to everyone interested in spooky, scary, dark side of Romania.

A must-do experience in Bucharest for wine connoisseurs!
This was simply an amazing experience. I was the only one on this tour and it was one of the highlights of my Bucharest visit. I was generous quantities of wine and the charcuterie board. There was no rush and I was given enough time to really enjoy this experience!
Thank you so much for being an amazing host, and also for the spicy jam! Highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic full day of sightseeing
I took this tour with my mom. We’ve done many group tours in our travels together but I opted for the private tour this time and I am so glad we did. Sebastian was a wonderful guide with a wealth of information. He chose a delicious restaurant for our lunch and shared helpful insights at each destination. His car was clean and comfortable and his driving was safe.
With the private tour, we felt like we had plenty of time at each stop to fully experience the place, and it was nice to be able to take bathroom breaks on our own schedule.
Overall a wonderful day trip from Bucharest to experience a glimpse of Bulgaria and we’re very happy we did it!

Something different.
Șeban Riga our driver was very funny and awesome....traffic is horrible there and back....sites were amazings...My wife and I enjoyed the town of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria...we skipped the palace tour and walked the whole town, there are a lot of eating options, don't be afraid to try it. Our weather was perfect SUNNY with a little breeze....I would recommend it, if you have the time. Our original date of the tour was canceled, because we were the only ones signed up for it. But they offered a different date, which we were free from other tours, I can undertand why you need at least 4 or more people for this tour. We managed to get back in a reasonable time to Bucharest as we had an early flight the next day. Long day but worth it.

Worth the Experience
Group of 19 people. Driver was already waiting for the people in front of the Hotel. Two hour drive to the Salt Mines, with 30 minutes stop in a gas station with a Luca Store. The driver, that identified himself as driver not guide, was really helpful and spoke english. We left on time. Arrived at 10:30. The mine is worth it. We left at 13:00. Around the mine and inside there are places to eat. We arrived to the city around 15h, since the group chose not to stop in the gas station.

Great fun - but remember...
Great fun - but remember to take your driving licence or a picture of it as this is needed for the form. Also you are asked to take out extra insurance so just be aware there may be additional charges to pay.
Other than that my partner had a great time driving round the streets while I stayed at the shopping mall - I had left my driving licence in the hotel! So couldn’t do the tour but was refunded the money for my part of the tour

Very knowledgeable and lots of fun
Alina was a verifiable fountain of knowledge regarding the architectural, cultural, and societal history of Bucharest, Romania, the Balkans, Eastern Europe, Russia and their relationship to Western Europe and the US. She's very personable, has a great sense of humor, who challenged what we've been taught about the region. I feel fortunate to having her as our guide.
