A really interesting day...

A really interesting day out. Our guide, Chris, was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information about the areas we were seeing including the evolution of the rainforest and the characteristics of some of the trees, plants, insects and animals. Got to see some crocodiles as well. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Here’s a polished English travel review for your Daintree day, in a consistent style: ⸻ An early start and a long, tiring day — but absolutely worth it for the sheer diversity of landscapes packed into one trip. The journey through the Daintree region felt like moving through completely different worlds within a single day: coastal beaches, dense tropical rainforest, winding rivers, and endless green wilderness all stitched together in one continuous landscape. It’s rare to experience such a dramatic shift of environments in such a short time. One of the highlights was the Daintree River Wildlife Cruise. Our guide was fantastic — constantly scanning the riverbanks and pointing out wildlife with impressive patience and enthusiasm. We were lucky enough to spot several crocodiles along the way. They were completely still, almost prehistoric in how motionless they appeared, but seeing them in their natural habitat made the experience genuinely memorable and worth it. Although the day was long and physically exhausting, the combination of rainforest atmosphere, river exploration, and coastal scenery made it feel like a full immersion into one of Australia’s most unique ecosystems.

Harleys Crocodile Adventures

We booked this trip through the Viator App and the whole booking process was easy to follow with subsequent communications being excellent. The trip was very good with the bus driver communicating the days schedule very well and the activities in the park being excellent, the boat trip and crocodile show were particularly good and were must do things in the park. If you want to get pretty close to crocodiles and see them in action, this is a must do trip and I would highly recommend it to anybody.

Our first trip to GBR and our first dives !

To The entire team of Silversonic - Thank you. They were very friendly, patient and made all of us very comfortable. Gordon was our dive instructor and he was extremely patient and understanding as it was our first dives. I was able to do two intro dives and by the second dive, I was able to move around myself and he was closely watching us to ensure we were absolutely safe. The food was great and plenty. There was plenty of cookies/biscuits and coffee/tea before we left and again later in the afternoon. The photographer ensured we all got our time in the Reef captured. While the sea was rough and bumpy on the way back, the skipper ensure we all got back safely ! Kudos to him ! The crew also offered sea sickness tablets which we bought and glad we did. All in all, a great day and crew. Highly recommended!

Gold Class All the Way!

The skyrail was a lot of fun and we met interesting people in our car. The views were spectacular! The town of Kaunda was nice and we had a great time at their zoo (an optional, additional expense). There were some nice shops all over town. Unfortunately, our visit was on a Tuesday, when many of the shops, especially those making hand crafts, were closed. The train ride home in Gold Class was exceptional! We sat in big comfy chairs and were served food and wine/beer all included! Our friends who didn’t book gold class, sat on benches in train cars with a water cooler! Our posh ride home was the perfect end to a great day!

A day of endless fun

Our tour guide Cheryl was extremely hospitable, friendly, and displayed a depth of knowledge and sensitivity towards Cairns' wildlife, culture, and history. We felt that time was used to its fullest and that we were able to cover a lot of ground and do a good range of activities in just one day. I was so glad to get the mix of culture and history with the talk at the Cathedral Fig tree, as well as the fun and thrill at the different waterfalls. The size of the group wasn't too big either, which worked well for us. Thanks to Cheryl and Cairns Adventure Group, we've made memories that we'll remember for a long time.

Once in a lifetime tour

The tour operators were very accommodating to both the experienced and novice swimmers. They were very vigilant in making sure all snorkelers were safe, although we had mild waves. The breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks were delicious. The snorkeling areas on the reef were beautiful with plenty of fish and coral life. The onboard presentation by the marine biologist was very informative before we went into the ocean. All in all it was a highlight of our trip to Australia.

Truly wonderful experience. Loved the glass bottom boat tour with knowledgeable interpretation and plenty of free time to snorkel off the beach. Crew were outstanding.
