Ghostly Walks tours start in front of the Visitor Information Centre except during October. The Info Centre is on the Inner Harbour across from the Empress Hotel. Your guide will be wearing black.

Guide was a great storyteller and captivated the group. The walk was very easy for those who don’t want to walk far. Interesting facts about the Empress hotel where I was staying.

This was so fun! I liked how we started right in and that the walk wasn’t too strenuous. The stories were great and you could either believe or not. Our group was made up of mostly folks who don’t believe in ghosts, but we all still had a good time.

Believing in ghosts is certainly not a prerequisite to taking our Ghostly Walks. Our aim is to take folks on an easy walk while listening to stories well told.

Signed up for this historical ghost walk and it was alright. Fun way to spend an hour. Would suggest going at the 9pm walk vs 7:30pm walk to experience more atmosphere. Guide was nice and spoke loud enough (had a speaker) over the hustle and bustle of the people around us. Wasn’t very spooky. There are different walks with different stories. Would have enjoyed more morbid ghostly tales. Felt a bit juvenile.

It’s great to know that you found our Ghostly Walks to be a fun way to spend an hour. “Spooky” is definitely a subjective word. We strive to find the right balance between scary and family friendly. We’re sorry that the stories weren’t morbid enough for you. It sounds like you were hoping for the tour to take place in the dark. We always suggest to our guests that if they would prefer to take our tours when it is darker, that they check the time of Sun set and book accordingly.

My girlfriend and I took the Ghostly Walk tour in Victoria last night and had a great time. The price felt very reasonable for the experience. Our guide, Asher, was friendly, engaging, and did a great job making each story entertaining while adding just the right amount of spooky atmosphere.
This is definitely a family-friendly tour. The stories are interesting and eerie without being too frightening, so I think kids would enjoy it as well. Even as adults, my girlfriend and I had a lot of fun learning about Victoria’s history and hearing the ghost stories connected to the different locations. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun evening activity in Victoria.

This was an excellent ghost tour. I’ve been on dozens of ghost tours in multiple countries and Jill was one of the best storytellers I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. My only regret was not having any Canadian cash for a well deserved tip. I only had 6 hours in Victoria and this was easily the best way to spend one of them. Highly recommended.

This was a really fun way to see a bit of downtown Victoria. Our guide, Asher, was friendly and delivered the stories with the appropriate spooky theatrics. Some of the stories were pretty gruesome (e.g. the failed hanging of a convicted murderer). Our 11-year-old has seen some horror movies and enjoyed the tour, but it might be a bit much for some kids.

Yes, some of the tales are pretty gruesome, and we trust our guides to be able to tell the stories appropriately should small children attend. Great way to see Victoria in the evening and learn of its ghostly history. I wish our tour guide would narrate audiobooks! His tales and way of storytelling was a highlight for our visit! I wished the evening was longer so I could see and learn more.
