    Could have been better

    Hassia_C, Jun 2026
Book direct ad thru the agent we used they where awful and did not explain how audio worked and what we should do. False economy… As we had to download the app and pay even more money

    Great day out

    Steven_W, Jun 2026
Our guide Sandra was very informative and made the tour interesting and willing to take questions The grounds of this place go on forever Great tour

Inconvenient, overpriced, and poorly organized tour. Do not do business with Play Granada tour company

    Yuriy_U, Jun 2026
We were very disappointed with Play Granada company. The ticket that Play Granada offers includes Generalife gardens ( the best and in my opinion the most beautiful part of Alhambra complex) and other less exciting sites that are free for all visitors. The actual cost of such ticket if you book it directly from Alhambra website is €12. Play Granada charges €39 for the same plus audio tour that is poorly organized, is not user friendly and did not work due to poor connection. 2 days before the tour, this company texted me and offered Nasdir palace tickets (again, significantly overpriced) for €99 per person. Do not buy it!! If you book Nasdir palace tickets 1-2 wks in advance, the full ticket for all the sites, including Nasdir palace is €44. The day before the tour another text came from a Play Granada agent offering a live tour guide for additional price of €10 per person. And the final disappointment came when we had to walk in 30C heat from the parking to their office to only receive printed tickets and a QR code with a password for the audio tour and from there take a taxi to go to the top of the hill to start our tour. Inconvenient, overpriced, and poorly organized tour.

    Tracy_S, Jun 2026
The audio is a little difficult to figure out the areas at first, but the pictures on the audiobook help guide the process! Viator made it possible, prior to Viator I thought it was too expensive, We are so grateful it wasn't!

    Alhambra audio tour

    Susan_E, Jun 2026
My friends and I are in our 70’s, we struggled with the online tour. My sound cut out after the second stop. Worked perfectly when I got back home. There wasn’t a printed map provided which made finding our way around difficult, switching between the audio and map online was not easy. Was only asked for tickets once as 2 areas were free entry.

    Needs improvement

    Fatmeh_E, Jun 2026
The app for the audio tour never loaded despite using the WiFi in the office. It was difficult to follow the map to the entrance of the exhibit. Several people were lost on the way up, and it is quite a ways up, so come prepared. I think an interactive digital map might help. Also, despite the pictures, you do not get access to the Nazarine palaces.

    Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you experienced difficulties loading the audio guide and locating the entrance. We understand how frustrating this can be, especially when trying to make the most of your visit. Your suggestion regarding an interactive digital map is greatly appreciated, and we will take it into consideration as we continue improving the visitor experience. Regarding access to the Nasrid Palaces, we would like to clarify that this tour does not include admission to those areas. We strive to make all inclusions and exclusions clear in the tour description, although we regret if the information did not meet your expectations. We value your comments, as they help us identify opportunities for improvement and provide a better experience for future visitors.

    AnaLydia_S, Jun 2026
I wish we chosed a guided by a person tour. The audio tour was not in the correct order as you go in. It was misleading.

    Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the audio tour did not meet your expectations. The audio guide is designed to allow visitors to explore at their own pace, but we understand that it can be frustrating if the sequence of the content feels unclear or difficult to follow during the visit. We appreciate your comments regarding the order of the audio stops, as this feedback helps us identify areas where we can improve the experience and make the route easier to follow for future visitors.

    BevinVoysey, May 2026
This tour did not include the Nazrid palace. We did not do our homework or read the fine print. Otherwise enjoyed.

Don’t buy audio tour at Play Granada

    cynun, May 2026
We selected an audio tour , which was a huge mistake . You have to go downhill to the town to present your ticket in order to get a code to access the tour on smart phone . This journey is 20 mins , another 20 to go uphill to Alhambra . Instead of just emailing or texting the tour after payment . Unacceptable and primitive process which ruined the day .

    Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the process to access the audio guide negatively affected your experience. We understand how inconvenient it can be to need to collect or validate access in person before starting the visit, especially when this involves additional walking time and planning. The current procedure is in place due to the requirements for ticket validation and access control set by the site, which require certain checks to be completed before providing access to the audio content. Nevertheless, we recognise that this may not feel as smooth or convenient as a fully digital delivery, and we appreciate your suggestion regarding direct delivery by email or text after purchase. Your comments are very valuable to us, as they help us identify opportunities to improve both the clarity of instructions and the overall user experience. We will ensure this feedback is taken into account in future improvements. We are truly sorry that this aspect of the service impacted your visit, and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know.

    Buy from the official site

    Sarah_A, May 2026
Alhambra was lovely but this was actually a garden only ticket. The palaces included would be included in a much cheaper ticket available from the official site without the need to collect a printed ticket and code for the audio tour in person, from a site remote from the Alhambra, both if which could have been sent digitally. Giving a time on it gave the impression I was getting more, but the ticket was valid all day, felt a bit conned.

    Wants online make profit

    AG_H, May 2026

A clunky experience to get into the Alhambra

    John_L, May 2026
The office is a long walk from the Alhambra and the audio guide wasn’t particularly useful. Would have been better to book direct with the Alhambra

Poor customer service from the ticket operator

    swettenham, May 2026
The Alhambra is a world class attraction and worth every penny. However, the collection of our tickets from this operator was extremely poor with the company having a low customer service rating. We drove from Nerja to Granada and parked in the large car park at the Palace. Despite repeated requests, the operator refused to send us our tickets electronically, desptite us having already paid for them. We were told we had to collect them in person from their offices. They suggested we drive into the conjested city to collect them or else walk. No wanting to drive thorugh the city which I was not familiar with, we chose to walk. This required us to walk for 25 minutes down the hill to the hill to the town and then back up the steep hill to the palace. Their offices were in an area of the old town with very little parking nearby. When we collected the tickets, they were just an A4 printed sheet with a QR code. This could quite easily have been emailed to us the day before for us to print out ourselves, thus saving us the need for a strenous walk before we'd even entered the Palace,

Don't book through Viator if you can

    Miranda_V, May 2026
Viator is a scam. They sell the tickets very expensive. Don't go straight to Alhambra but make sure you go to the agent first to collect your actual ticket. You only receive a voucher online, not the actual ticket. Alhambra is absolutely beautiful though. I give that 5*

    JamesB_W, May 2026
Great experience, however, little difficult to find walking , and when I picked up my ticket, the person wasn’t very knowledgeable on giving me directions

    The audio kept starting...

    Kim_D, Apr 2026
The audio kept starting at 1. Even though we were not at that point. It did not follow along with our location even though we both had precise location on. Good information but wasted a lot of time trying to figure out how to navigate the app. I think it was not worth the money. I reached out to support via chat but was told to make sure precise location was on. It was.

    Response from Host, May 2026

Dear customer, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re really sorry to hear that the audio guide was frustrating to use, especially during such a special visit. We completely understand how inconvenient it must have been having the audio restart and not match your location properly. Situations like this can take away valuable time from enjoying a place as unique as the Alhambra, and we can see why this affected your overall impression. Regarding the audio guide, it is designed to be used with location services, but depending on the device, signal, or settings, it may not always synchronize as expected. We’re also sorry that the assistance you received did not fully resolve the issue at the moment — we understand how frustrating that must have felt. We would also like to kindly remind that all service details, including the type of experience provided, are specified prior to purchase to ensure transparency, although we understand that the usability of the tool itself is just as important. Your feedback is very valuable to us, and we will take it into account to improve both the functionality of the audio experience and the support we provide. Thank you again for your comments, and we hope to offer you a smoother experience in the future. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

    Alhambra visit

    Chris_C, Apr 2026
If you visit Granada, the Alhambra is a must not to miss, you can walk up to it , but there is a bus up & down the hill. When you purchase your ticket online, advisable to book in advance as always sold out. Check on your voucher that you have to get your ticket from the agent in Granada, check your small print. You should spend about 4 to 5 hrs to really take it in.

    Disappointed

    Pedro_F, Apr 2026
If you book through "Play Granada" you have to inconveniently pick up your tickets downtown Granada! Also, some tickets don't include the inside of palaces. We were only able to see the gardens.

    My view

    Marco_P, Apr 2026
Very expensive compared to a normal ufficial ticket booked in advance We had to stand quite a long queue before receiving the tickets

    Scammed ;-;

    REBECCA_L, Mar 2026
I got scammed, I spent 200€ on a ticket to Alhambra but then the ticket lady gave me a 20€ garden ticket

    Bad experience in Alhambra palace

    mohammed_s, Mar 2026
Unfortunately, my experience was very bad as the company that sold the so-called Alhambra tickets was not honest. From the first moment the name of the tickets was that but when we arrived at Alhambra we were told that the tickets did not include the essential and most important part of Alhambra (Nasrid palaces)! That was truly shocking as I had traveled from Ukraine to visit the Alhambra palaces like everyone else but the tickets sold would. Only allow us to visit the gardens!!! The tickets sold for 125$ person only included a visit to the gardens....And when we confronted the company they were trying to exclude their responsibility saying that they informed me when they never did. I had to ask my girlfriend who is a lawyer to intervene and remind them of the applicable consumer protection law and only when she threatened going to the police, did they're return part of the money paid they deducted 85$ for alleged charges, so I lost money and the visit to Alhambra on the day scheduled which obliged us to stay one extra night to be able to visit it the next day.

    Mixed experience

    Gillian_W, Mar 2026
It wasn’t clear that tickets were collected away from the venue. Also not clear to us that it did not include all of the venue. This meant we missed out parts Our learning was to read details !

    Slightly disappointed

    Catherine_M, Mar 2026
I found this audio tour mildly disappointing. The audio information seemed to short and could have included more details. The signage for where to go as we walked was too sparse. The Alhambra was an interesting building but our audio tour only had six short explanations. The views were wonderful.

    Absolute must-see!

    Julia_K, Mar 2026
Mindblowingly beautiful experience! Highly recommend visiting the Alhambra palaces & gardens... Really enjoyed the online guides. We appreciated the opportunity to move at our own pace. Even the stroppy teenagers liked it! :)

    Full of (unpleasant) surprises

    Inez_G, Mar 2026
Feels like a lot of surprises with extra costs. We thought we bought tickets with nasrid palace but the day of the visit we got an WhatsApp that we could book this as extra for €49! That was up to the €35 we already paid. Read your ticket!! You have to get your ticket in the city first not at Alhambra itself.

Ticket Scams at AlHambra in Granada

    Nick_A, Feb 2026
After booking with Viator and getting confirmation from them, A day later I received an e mail purportedly from Viator stating that they could not honour our tickets since there had been an error in ticket availability. I didn’t notice the source of the 2nd e mail at this point; it was from Eva at Play Granada. She then proceeded to offer me an alternative tour package for 396€ as opposed to the 180€ I had booked. At this point I had no alternative since our friends were en route to meet us in Granada. I then noticed the discrepancy in suppliers but Playa Granada obviously would not refund the tickets. I assume that Viator e mail was hacked by Play Granada and that is how they contacted me. Before booking with a tour company, check Chat gpt for ticket scams. There is a lot of info on this subject!

    Not worth money

    Julie_M, Feb 2026
Book direct with the Alhambra 22 euros covers everything. Paid 37 euros for what was free anyway. Thankfully didn’t take up offer of 47 euros to get into palace. Check out the official website.

Alhambra or Temple of Doom I’m sure it’s lovely in the sun organisers need to improve the experience in wet weather

    Susan_B, Feb 2026
Don’t go when it’s raining nothing is in place to help you enjoy the experience you just get soaked and made to stand out in the rain there is limited refreshment areas and they ran out of snacks. They are not flexible about adjusting time tables - it was an appalling Expensive Experience

    Conned

    Gill_H, Feb 2026
It’s basically free to wonder round the gardens and Generallife, it’s €12 to enter with access to the palace, yet Viator charged me the pleasure for £61, absolute disgrace
