Chase was AWESOME!! Very knowledgeable. Amazing dog sled leader. Dogs loved him. Knows customer service.
Greg_M, Aug 2025
This is a fantastic excursion. Chase is a wonderful host and so knowledgeable about Alaska, the sled dogs, and the mushing culture. His dogs are clearly loved and each one has such a unique personality, all extremely friendly. They loved being petted and being hugged. We were unsure how this experience would be without snow but it was amazing, and the dogs get a necessary workout to keep them in shape for winter. We actually want to come see Chase and his dogs again when there’s snow and the dogs are in their element. We highly recommend this excursion!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a fantastic time with Chase and his pups--Chase truly is a treasure, and his passion for Alaska and his sled dogs shines through in every aspect of the adventure.
We’re thrilled you enjoyed the dogs and the mushing experience even without snow—Alaskan Huskies are full of energy and require their workouts year-round! We would be delighted to welcome you back when the snow is falling and the dogs are in their element.
Thank you for recommending us, and we can’t wait to see you again for another adventure! 🐾❄️

This is the only excursion that didn’t pick us up at the hotel. After hiring an Uber for $65 to take us, we arrived at a rural, rundown trailer in the middle of nowhere. Our Uber driver said that he wasn’t going to leave us there. The man who was running the excursion explained that no dogs lived on the premises and that several people shared this co-op to bring their dogs to train. He introduced us to 8 of his dogs that he had brought to the property in his truck. He hooked them up in their harnesses and attached the line to an off-road vehicle that we rode in with him as he drove behind the dogs on a dirt trail covered with tree stumps and tree roots. It was a rough, bumpy ride. It was a blessing that the Uber driver stuck around for the hour and a half that the excursion guide talked to us and drove us. We may not have gotten a ride back to Fairbanks. Of course, we paid the Uber driver for his time and ride back so this was a very expensive day for a subpar excursion.

Hi Jackie,
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your perspective and would like to clarify a few key points regarding your experience.
Our tours operate out of a Mongolian yurt, and we cannot speak to the neighboring structures. It’s disheartening to see them reviewed in relation to our business.
We strive to communicate clearly that we do not provide transportation, as stated on our website and in the tour descriptions. We appreciate that you reached out for confirmation, and we attempted to provide guidance through our transportation suggestions page on car rentals and shuttle services while advising against ride shares in our remote area.
We’re glad that our neighbor was able to intervene with your Uber driver when he attempted to drop you off at his house. Unfortunately, we have encountered issues where Uber drivers may leave passengers stranded and thus why we advise against them. To mitigate this, we have placed clear signage on the neighboring driveway indicating that drop-offs are not permitted at the gate. This is intended to prevent such situations and to look out for your best interest, but it ultimately remains beyond our control.
In the future, if your expectations do not align with what we offer prior to the tour, we recommend canceling for a full refund, as our goal is to ensure a satisfying experience for all our guests. As a small business, we genuinely appreciate every booking and strive to reflect this in our customer service.
If you felt that our specific guide or the tour itself did not meet your expectations after your visit, we value that feedback, as it is something we can address, including your concerns about the trail conditions.
We strive to offer an authentic dog mushing experience that involves navigating natural terrain, as dogs’ paws are not suited for pavement, and even gravel can be challenging for them. We appreciate your understanding that the trails may not always be perfectly smooth, as they reflect the beauty of the Alaskan wilderness and prioritize the health of our working dogs' paws.
Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your understanding.

We had such a wonderful experience. Chase introduced us to all the dogs and really educated us on the breed and their capabilities. The cart ride was short but nonetheless loved the whole experience. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to one day doing it in the snow!

We had a great visit with Chase and his dogs.
We did a couple "mushing" experiences on our Alaska trip and this was the best!
Yulia_G, Jul 2024
We learned a lot about huskies, how they bread and about Iditarod races.
The dogs are so smart and behave great.
susan_G, Jul 2024
Fantastic! Highly recommended. Chas was great, he spent time to introduce us to the dogs and explain everything. It was up close and personal. Loved the cart ride. Thank you!
Jonathan_L, Jun 2024
We had a great time! Our Musher/Guide Chase was knowledgeable, interesting & engaging, & he clearly loved his dogs. Be aware that the actual ride is only a portion of the activity, but it is made much more enjoyable by the individual introductions to the dogs & the sport.
Derek_S, Jun 2024
Our guide was excellent and also trained, and owns the 8 team of dogs we had for our ride. The dogs are very cool, friendly, and very good at what they do.
LuAnne_P, Jun 2024
Chase was very friendly and informative. The dogs were friendly and well cared for. We learned about the Yukon Quest race as well as the Ididerod. He and some of the dogs have raced in them. We got to harness the dogs and enjoyed a cart ride through the forest. We enjoyed time in his yet before we left. A luxury outhouse was available. Easy to find with the directions given on his website.
Doug_C, Jun 2024
Chase introduced us to each dog on the team and told us about each of them. Also explained each dogs role. All of the dogs were terrific. The ride being pulled by dogs you see how much they love to run and pull us.
Carl_A, Jun 2024
Very personable, informative host and the ride was fun. Enjoyed his life story and how he got involved, especially since he wasn't native to Alaska.
Beverly_S, Aug 2023
We had a great time visiting with Chase and hearing his sled stories. His dogs were so amazing and excited to go on the journey with us. This is well worth the trip. It’s fun and you will learn a lot. If you don’t have a car message them ahead of time for transportation suggestions or check their website.
Heather_H, Aug 2023
This was a highlight of our trip. Unlike the other more "tourist" oriented kennels, this was a private opportunity to meet dogs that have participated in the biggest races, to learn about the Alaskan huskies and their history and development for racing, and to learn about dog sledding. All was presented by the loving owner of the dogs themselves - clearly they are all family! The strength and enthusiasm of these dogs is so evident and their love for their work is genuine, as is the love and care their owner and driver provides.
Lauren_F, Jul 2023
My family and I had a great time on this tour. It was one of the best we have ever done. Chase was extremely knowledgeable and fun to talk with. The dogs were super friendly and amazingly powerful on the trails. It was great meeting each dog on the team and learning their different personalities. We would definitely do this tour again!
Kevin_K, Jul 2023
Great forest run with lively, excited pups. The guide, Chase, shows obvious love and care for his runners.
Sarah_W, Jul 2023
