Adventure in Nature

Paula_S, May 2026
Rancho Loco Horseback riding has become a staple on my annual holiday to Aruba. I enjoy the challenge of being pushed out of my comfort zone to do something natural and enjoyable. This is my sixth time and counting of being with Rancho Loco. I keep coming back because I always feel safe with the staff. I appreciate their attentiveness to each rider. I trust their expertise in horse pairing and safety guidance. I had a great time again and I am looking forward to my next visit!

Nervous rider

Paul_K, Apr 2026
The staff was very friendly. They took very good care of me to alleviate my nerves about riding a horse.

Never got picked up....

Dwayne_D, Apr 2026
Never got picked up. There was a discrepancy in pick up times and miscommunication.. We were given a start time of 9am . The hotels wifi was out and we never received the pick up time

Response from Host, May 2026

The tour time is 9 a.m. your ticket clearly states that pick up begins one hour before the tour time at 8 a.m. for the morning tour which you booked. You do not need WiFi to make a telephone call in Aruba. If you had any questions about transportation you could have easily called us. You could have asked the concierge or front desk to make that call. However, just to set the record straight we notified you through the Viator portal on March 27th of your pick up time as well as the evening of April 27th which was 14 minutes after you sent us the message requesting the pick up time. We also called your phone the morning of your tour 6 times beginning at 8:01 a.m. with no answer. The second to the last call at 8:15 a.m. you declined. We also tried to reach you at your room at 8:11 a.m. We tried repeatedly to reach you while our driver waited for you.

Bad scale

Amanda_W, Apr 2026
I was so excited for this, it was the first excursion we booked! When we got there they weighed us. I also weighed myself and husband before we left on our vacation. I was 148 and my husband 218. There’s a 220 lbs weight limit. We did this on day 3 of our vacation. Their scale said I weighed 157 and my husband 229… there’s no way!! just got home after 7 days of vacation weighed myself again. I’m 150 and he’s 220, that’s more like it. so they scammed us out of $310 since he wasn’t able to ride. I changed the batteries in our scale and everything to make sure. So have proof of what you weigh in case they scam you too.

Response from Host, May 2026

We have a weight limit in place for your safety as well as the safety of our horses. This is NOT A SCAM. We weigh you fully clothed and with shoes on and advise you in advance of this so you are well aware. We will give a 2lb leeway but your husband was 9lbs over the limit and 14lbs over what you indicated on the booking. So again…not a scam your husband weighed 9lbs over the limit. I would advise anyone who is close to the limit to weigh themselves with exactly what they will be wearing on the horse before booking this tour. We take the weight limit and our horses welfare very seriously and your horses were reserved for you in advance.

We had such a great time....

We had such a great time. Our guides were great. Loved the horses and the ride. Would highly recommend.

Excellent Adventure - Don't miss it!

3 generations girls trip!

Jillian_A, Apr 2026
This experience was worth every penny! We did the morning ride and the ranch was super helpful with hotel pickup. The natural pools were closed due to high surf but it was still breathtaking and beautiful. Bring closed toe shoes, and pants! Lots and lots of sunscreen. There is absolutely no shade on the trails.

Worth every penny

Megan_W, Apr 2026
Patrick was amazing especially with my daughter who is incredibly shy & was nervous about her first ever horseback riding. He was very thoughtful in his placement of each horse to the rider & gave a lot of good instruction to help us feel safe while enjoying the ride. We very grateful for the experience with Muneco, Arian, & Ringo. They were great horses!

Must do adventure!

Tamara_G, Apr 2026
Highly recommend this excursion! The ranch takes great pride in their care of their horses. We rode up and over the desert mountains to the natural pool. Our family has done a multitude of vacation adventures and we all agreed this was our favorite we have done! The horses were so incredibly well trained, the scenery was beautiful, and the guides were excellent.

Best Excursion on Aruba! 🇦🇼

CHARLES_A, Mar 2026
This is a LONG ride… What can I say, these folks are exceptional at what they do(love)! Horses are well trained, & groomed. Employees & animals are family, and they’re fantastic! The vibes are LOVE, & we will be back again & again, as long as they’ll have us! Thanks for the memories!

Slow ride…. Take it easy.

PAUL_V, Mar 2026
Great ride with a guide that took care of the group. Good conversation and awesome scenery made it a memorable experience. The natural pool provides break to cool off and get great pictures. Sunscreen, covered legs, insulated water bottle and a secured hat are highly recommended. Listen to your guide… respect the horses and you’ll have a good time.

Michele_T, Mar 2026
Patrick was a great guide! The horses were gentle and well cared for. It was a lot of fun! Great views and time to cool off at the Natural Pool. I would do this again!

The best experience possible.

William_R, Mar 2026
I cannot speak highly enough of this experience. The perfect excursion for my family and making memories. Our guide, Patrick, is a true gift to the world and anyone who gets to experience riding horses with him. He was a pure leader, genuine, kind, funny, uplifting… the best teacher for all involved. I really can’t find the perfect words to express how much I appreciate having him as my family’s guide. Thank you my friend. We will see you again.

Hailey_A, Mar 2026
This was an amazing experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly; he made the experience truly enjoyable. The views were absolutely beautiful and the entire trip was not too long or too short. Unfortunately, we were not able to swim in the natural pool due to rough waters, but this is not something that ruined the entire experience.

Perfect experience,...

Lisa_T, Mar 2026
Perfect experience, amazing guide, spectacular scenery. Remember to put sunscreen on multiple times :)

Authentic and Amazing

Ann_C, Mar 2026
Be comfortable, swimming realize that you’re having a genuine authentic experience on an island where you are a guest. So thankful for the way these folks operate and run this ranch and take care of their guests while visiting.

So much fun!

Amy_Y, Mar 2026
We had so much fun riding the horses to the natural pool! Our guide was friendly and funny, the horses were sweet and well cared for, and the pool was so refreshing after the ride. Would definitely do it again when we go back to Aruba!

It’s definitely a long...

Joel_B, Mar 2026
It’s definitely a long ride in the sun. Make sure you have protection from the sun. No bathrooms once you start. Great guide and great views. Horses were great. Friendly staff. All level riders will have a nice ride. Our guide let us have fun with our horses once we were comfortable.

Rancho Loco a spiritual journey

Paulo_S, Mar 2026
Wear long pants and gym shoes! This excursion is a MUST. I went in thinking ok a horse ride this is gonna be nice... I walked away with a spiritual experience. The scenery, the ocean air and connection with my horse, unforgettable. Our guide was Patrick...wicked smart, knowledgeable patient and wise. Above all..the horses are obviously well cared for, healthy and the ranch is amazing clean and the staff sweet! I believe the Owner was on sight, shes a sharp lady.who knows her stuff. I could.go on and on, over all, the care of the horses the Ranch and staff all show! The ride brought out qualities in me that ill foster back home self confidence, leadership (my horse was Pegasus) strength, confidence and learning to let go and enjoy the ride!!!

Aruba on Horseback

Tammy_H, Mar 2026
No experience with horses required! Beautiful ride through National park to the natural pool! A great way to see Aruba's rugged beauty! The sea was too rough on the day of our ride to swim at the pool, but the beauty was spectacular!

Amazing experience from start to finish.

David_W, Feb 2026
I have no experience on horseback, my wife is very experienced. We both loved the tour. Riding through the cactii made me feel like a cowboy and the mid tour swim in the natural pool was a welcome break from the heat. The guides and other staff were brilliant, fun but giving the air of complete competence and concern regarding safety. I simply cannot recommend this tour too highly. JUST DO IT you won't be disappointed.

Excellent Adventure

Erick_L, Feb 2026
It is an excellent and unique way to see that part of Aruba. The sights on the way to the Natural Pool were beautiful. The saddlebags are roomy enough to bring a small towel, sunscreen, cell phone and I suggest water shoes for walking into the Natural Pool. There are water bottle holders on each side of the saddlebags. Everyone we came into contact with was friendly and helpful, from the driver that picked us up to the woman who welcomed us once we arrived. Our tour guide, Patrick, did a fantastic job of informing us on what to do and what to expect on the tour. Do not pass up the chance to take this tour while vacationing in Aruba.

Fantastic trail ride experience!

Paul_L, Feb 2026
This is one of the best, most unique adventure experiences we’ve ever been on! A full afternoon of riding and horsemanship in the great hands of Patrick, our fantastic guide. Cool ocean swimming spot halfway through the ride, loved it! Bonus gratitude to Carlos and Christie, who went above and beyond in retrieval of important items we had left behind - you are a top notch touring company and we would very much recommend you to anyone we know! Note to Viator: the pickup directions provided by the Viator app are not correct, the coordinates take you elsewhere, we experienced confusion as a result and had to use Google Maps to search for ‘Rancho Loco’, which then provided the right location. Please fix this.

Aruba Horseback riding-Awesome

Grace_T, Feb 2026
It was great fun. The wranglers were very informative and a lot of fun. Horses are gentle and mind well. The ocean views are breathtaking.

High light of out trip

Bonnie_S, Feb 2026
On Feb 4th my son, my sister, her husband and I did this horseback ride. I rode Muneco, my son rode Apollo and it was a great ride. These horses were well trained. Would recommend to anyone who wants to ride. Our tour guide and assistant were terrific and so much fun. We would do it again if we ever return to the island.

Awesome

Janeesa_L, Feb 2026
Very fun experience and would highly recommend to anyone! Very beginner friendly and the horses are easy to ride with. Patrick was also an amazing guild, very down to earth.

The BEST day!!

Lacey_C, Feb 2026
This was the best horse back riding experience we have ever done. They take such good care of their horses and do enforce the weight limit rule which is awesome to see. The horses were absolutely wonderful and so well behaved that we didn’t even have to do anything to guide them, they already knew exactly what to do. Patrick was our guide and he was amazing. He cares and knows those horses like the back of his hand.. we learned a lot from him for riding in the 3-4 hours we spent together for our ride. Next time we come back to Aruba we have already said we will be doing this ride to the natural pool again, it was the best way to see and experience it!!

As an experienced rider...

Colleen_R, Feb 2026
As an experienced rider and former horse owner, Rancho Loco's tour is top notch. They take excellent care of their horses and their guide matched the riders ability with the horses with incredible accuracy. Highly recommended this tour to see the rugged northern side of the island from horseback.

Views that you’ll remember forever

Andrea_T, Feb 2026
Truly amazing! Pickup at hotel was easy and on time. Once at the ranch you fill out a waiver and get weighed in. Then you meet with Selene and Patrick to meet the horses and learn about the ride. They are both amazing. Patrick is witty, fun and knowledgeable and Selene is kind, patient and a true animal lover. Don’t forget to bring cash to tip- they more than earn it Wear pants and closed toe shoes or you’ll feel it. The ride is amazing though the park. Beautiful sites (including goats and ship wrecks). The natural pool is stunning but very slippery - bring water shoes and a camera bag and towel. It gets deep fast. Stunning. Then you ride back. It was about 3 hours and worth every monites
