Don't go to Dominica without Pepper!!

Pepper is an amazing tour guide! He is as much the experience as the places you visit. He was so knowledgeable about the island that he knew exactly how to time each attraction so that we arrived with minimal crowds and traffic. He went with us to each area. He didn't just sit in the van and wait. The experience was so much better with him. We were hardly teenagers on this tour, but he referred to us as such but gave us the assistance we needed. We laughed the entire day. He gave us the confidence when we hesitated. Don't go to Dominica without Pepper!

This tour was absolutely amazing! Majestic taxi and tours was really majestic. Culvert or "Bert" was the best and most professional guide you can have. Being from the islands i am used to the winding and tight roads which can be scary but I felt perfectly safe with him. He was cautious and knew every inch of those roads. He was patient and cared about your experience. We saw so much beauty on the island, it was truly amazing. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!. They provided some tastes of the island like rum punch, fish cakes from a local vendor etc. I would recommend this tour a thousand times. Oh and lastly the bus was very comfortable. When they realized it may be a bit tight in the bus we had scheduled, he immediately switched us to a bigger bus.. Thank you Majestic for that wonderful first time on Dominica 🇩🇲 experience!

The hike has three phases...

The hike has three phases and all three of them are quite distinct. Junior was my guide and he has good knowledge of the local flaura and fauna. He is a supportive guide and helped an italian lady who was also hiking with us throughout her journey. There was white out when we started our hike but it started getting clearer. The route is easy to follow although it gets tricky in some portions. Its strenous in some portions but getting back and dipping in the gorge helps. We also spotted a jacko parrot on our way back. If someone loves hiking they should definitely give this hike a try. :)

Incredible day trip

I joined this tour solo through Viator and had a great experience with the group. Our guide, Bert, was exceptional - knowledgeable and attentive throughout, sharing history along the way, answering all our questions, and even taking great photos of us at each stop. The itinerary hit all the highlights: Trafalgar Falls, Wotten Waven Sulphur Springs, Dominica Botanic Gardens, Morne Bruce, and Titou Gorge. Well organized, good pace, great value. This tour was outstanding...

This tour was outstanding - we saw seven sperm whales and the captain was great. If you are a person that gets seasick, I would highly recommend taking the proper precautions. We had an individual get very sick on the tour. It was fine when the boat was moving, but when we were stopped looking for whales it was choppy.

The BEST experience!!!

This was amazing! It was a small boat of 8 people so everyone had a view of the ocean. We didn’t see any sperm whales because instead we saw Orcas (which scare away the sperm whales). They guide was really lovely and positive and took us out for well over 3 hours so we could get the full experience of the whales. We then celebrated with rum punch. 100% worth the money and would definitely do again!

Curtis is the best tour...

Curtis is the best tour guide on the island. He knows the rainforest inside out and front to back. Curtis managed to make our tour fun and enjoyable as well as relaxing and informative. Great time, highly recommend

This experience was allot of fun. The Whacky Rollers company did a fantastic job and made it fun for all of us. It was just the right length of time. The van ride to the river was good, allot to see. The company was quick to get us all on the river. The guides spent allot of time making sure everyone was having a good time. Ride back was just as good and we got dropped off in town next to the port. Went to "Pirates" afterwards for live music and drinks. This is my second time cruising through Dominica and Pirates is a great place to stop off after your excursion and have a few drinks.

Our favorite tour of our whole cruise week!

Tiffany was an amazing guide! I don’t like scripted tours. She was wonderful! She picked us up at the cruise terminal and we were off in her comfortable ride with AC! Shes a great driver and shared with us many historical sites and what it was like to personally grown up on the island! We hiked up to the glorious double falls exploring local floral & wildlife along the way! We went to the botanical gardens and than natural sulfur springs plus a lookout point on a mountain where we could see our ship! Everyone seemed to know her! Than she gave us these delicious, just fried, salt cod chips?! I don’t know, but they were yummy! She is very educated and very good at her job! She clearly loves what she does and her beautiful island! She is a wealth of information! We visited 7 islands in 7 day cruise and this was our favorite! Than when we got back on the ship we watched Movies under the Stars on the big screen was “Pirates of the Caribbean” that was filmed on that island Dominica! It was just an amazing day! Caribbean Cooking Class with Daria, Dominica - Our cooking experience with Chef Daria was so much fun. She was funny, warm, & very detailed in her explanation of all the different dishes & ingredients she had chosen for our cuisine. Even though we were a fairly large group (around 24) we were given the chance to assist her with the preparation of our delicious lunch. We would highly recommend this experience! I must also give a HUGE shoutout to Michael Eugene from Caribbean Cooking Class with Daria. Following our Cooking Class and back to our cruise ship at the port, I realized I left my small backpack (and cellphone) way up the mountain at Chef Daria's. Fortunately, I was able to contact Michael Eugene and explained about my missing backpack. He was willing to drive my pack to me at the port before we sailed. My hero!

Middleham Falls Hike and Ti'tou Gorge Half-Day Excursion

Fantastic!

This was a highlight of our travels! We met our guide (Hubert from Waitukubuli Tours) very close to our cruise port and he drove us out and back. It was wonderful to have a local and knowledgeable guide to share information about history, culture, flora and fauna. The Middleham Falls hike is a little over 3 miles round trip. We found it to be moderately strenuous- the trail is clear but dynamic with lots of elevation change with many steep steps and some uneven footing. The waterfall at the end is breathtaking and we saw only a few other hikers on the trail. There are water crossings and slippery tree roots, stones, and logs. We opted for hiking shoes which gave good traction but got very wet very quickly. The trail could be done in hiking sandals (like Chacos) or some sort of water shoe, but with so many slippery areas there is risk of falls and injuries in lighter weight footwear. Overall the hike will feel harder for those of us who may be a little out of shape, or not used to the hot humid climate. Drinking plenty of cold water, and taking a quick breather after a steep stair climb helped us acclimate and accomplish the small challenges of the climb. Our guide was kind and patient, gauging our fitness levels and pointing out hazards along the way. He is very knowledgeable about local flora and fauna- we learned about the botany of the area and heard and caught glimpses of local mammals and beautiful hummingbirds and parrots! We hiked in both sunshine and in torrential pouring rain. It was wonderful. Visiting TiTou Gorge after our hike was a great way to cool off and have a unique experience of a short swim up the deep gorge to a waterfall. PFD’s are available on site for flotation, as well as some local vendors selling souvenirs. The water was chilly but pleasant, and there were handholds and ropes to help navigate the quick moving current. The scenery is unique and memorable. If we are ever able to return to Dominica we would not hesitate to go on more tours with the Waitukubuli Tours company, and highly recommend their services. We were well taken care of by them and were very comfortable all day long.
