This was a nice introductory walking tour that taught me more about Adelaide’s history. Our guide was quite knowledgeable.
The only change I would make is that rather than standing outside the building talking about it, I would have enjoyed the tour more if we could go inside. For instance, we stood across the street from the town hall talking about its history and the Beetles’ visit for 5-10mins. Later on I found out that the town hall was open to the public, so I went inside on my own time and got a much closer look at the Beetles’ exhibit.

Thanks for your feedback Pearl! I did mention you can go inside the Town Hall in your own time from Monday to Friday as a recommendation, so I'm glad you were able to get in there after doing this tour on a Sunday and seeing the exhibit!
The Welcome to Adelaide tour is designed as an introductory tour showcasing the city's sights. We do venture into Town Hall, and other venues, on our longer (three-hour) Iconic Adelaide tour, which runs Monday to Friday and allows more time to explore.

Our guide took our group of 9 on an interesting walk through downtown Adelaide. She shared her knowledge of historical beginnings and gave some interesting insights to the buildings and the transformation of the city over time.
The walk was not difficult as Adelaide is largely flat downtown. A good tour to get your visit to Adelaide started.

Katina (tour operator) introduced herself at the meeting point on time. She thanked me for replying to her email the night before and then told me that I was the only one on tour for that morning session.
I thought ‘ Wow, my own tour guide ‘ and it was great.
I’ve been on tours in other cities before and usually have someone older but not today. Katina is a young, energetic and full of passion young lass who is extremely enthusiastic to tell you about her home town/city.
I thoroughly enjoyed the history of how the city became what it is today and the fabulous tips from her of places to see and how to get around.
If you’re ever in Adelaide this is a must thing to do before you start your own journeys around the city.
Big thanks Kat for your knowledge and insight to Adelaide.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. The beauty of places such as the railway station was described but we didn't go inside. There were a couple other public buildings it would have been nice to see inside.

Our walking tour with Andrea was brilliant! She had a wealth of knowledge of Adelaide's history and development. The tour was the first thing we did after arriving the previous evening and hence was a great way to orientate ourselves about the layout of the city centre. We also followed up a tip Andrea provided about an exhibition in the Botanical Gardens which was fantastic. Many thanks Andrea!

Great walking tour of the city. We did this on our first day there and it gave us a a really good feel for the city. We were able to get our bearings and decide what we wanted to further explore. Guide was full of information and fun facts. Highly recommend.

A great way to spend a morning in Adelaide. Our guide, Kat, was full of interesting facts about Adelaide’s history and was very engaging. I particularly enjoyed Adelaide Arcade, which I might have passed over had we not visited on the tour, but which has a rich and interesting history. I would highly recommend this tour if you are hoping to get a sense of Adelaide’s layout and history!
