Slow portrait sessions are a personal experience which result in a one-of-a-kind nuanced and organic portrait. These portraits capture more than just a physical appearance. The nature of these sessions build anticipation. There’s a sense of presence in the moment rarely experienced in digital sessions. The images have an organic, grainy texture and unique tonal rendition. This adds a certain timelessness to the portrait. The process requires patience, as the outcome isn’t immediate. You and I will share a moment of mystery waiting for it to develop. Whilst we wait you will learn about the important place Edinburgh holds in the development of photography. When it's ready It feels like you’ve captured something enduring which creates an unbroken thread between now and the past. This isn’t just a sightseeing trip — it’s a carefully curated journey through the very soul of the Scottish Highlands, blending history, nature, whisky, and wildlife into one unforgettable day. You’ll stand at the Millionaire’s View and understand why the Highlands take your breath away, wander cobbled streets that have barely changed in centuries, and come face to face with iconic Highland cows on a working farm — not a tourist attraction. At the heart of the day is Dunrobin Castle, one of Scotland’s most spectacular yet lesser-known treasures. With formal gardens inspired by Versailles and a history stretching back through the powerful Clan Sutherland, it rivals anything Europe has to offer — without the crowds. The tour also weaves in authentic Highland hospitality, from a whisky bar inside a 15th-century castle to a peaceful finale at Loch Fleet, where seals bask undisturbed on the sandbanks. This is the Highlands as they were meant to be experienced — wild, grand, and personal.
