A great tour to see the other side of Rio!
Martin was a gem of a guide, navigating conversations in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese to meet the needs of a diverse group. He helped us safely navigate the favela, took us to great vantage points and through tight alleyways. We got to interact with some residents, play some soccer, meet some artists, and come to appreciate all that the favelas are, while also learning about how they operate and their history. Thanks for a wonderful, eye-opening tour, Martin!

Great tour
We had a great time exploring Rochina with Mateo. We were picked up by Mateo and taken to the favela by Uber to meet the rest of the group. We spent plenty of time walking round exploring with Mateo who was very good at explaining anything you wanted to know about Rochina. He is a local & it was great to hear from his experience.
The only thing I would say, this tour advertises taking you to two favelas but we only explored Rochina - it wasn’t an issue for us as we had a great time anyway, just be aware. Also, there is a lot of walking up & down stairs that are quite steep.

Closest I’ll get to dancing in carnival
I did this activity solo during my long stay in Rio, this is a good activity if you want get the feel for samba and carnival. Gaby was my instructor teaching our group the foundations of samba nice and slow working you to quick feet and at the end we had a photo op with carnival costumes! So fun, and great memories!

Absolute highlight of Rio with this amazing crew!
Wow! If you are on the fence about booking a sunset cruise in Rio, just do it—and book with Sail in Rio! This is an absolute must-do activity to experience the unmatched beauty of Rio's ocean and mountain landscape. Seeing the city from the perspective of the Atlantic bay gives you unparalleled, front-row views of Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer that you simply cannot get from land.
From the very first minute, the hospitality from the three crew members—Daniel, Chloe, and their wonderful colleague who kept us refreshed with fantastic drinks—was absolutely top-notch. As an international traveler, it was fantastic that their English was 100% clear and completely comprehensible, making communication completely effortless. The team was highly organized and professional, already waiting to greet us at 2:30 PM at the entrance for our 3:00 PM start.
Their attention to detail, genuine care, and warmth made the entire 3-hour sea journey feel incredibly special. They kept the excellent drinks flowing, the snacks were great, and they anticipated every need—even providing fresh towels for anyone who wanted to take a swim and warm blankets to keep everyone comfortable the moment the sun went down.
Watching the sea landscape change as the sun dropped behind the mountains was unforgettable, topped off by absolutely perfect weather on June 20! An incredible boat, an immaculate vibe, and an amazing crew. I cannot recommend the team highly enough!

Great accessible private tour with Higor!
We had a fantastic private tour with Higor. My mother uses a walker, and Higor did an excellent job finding accessible bathrooms, navigating step-free access, and making sure she was comfortable and safe.
We saw Christ the Redeemer, an interesting Brutalist-style church, the bottom of the Selaron Steps, and took the cable car to Sugarloaf Mountain. Our lunch stop was delicious too.
My only regret was that I didn’t think to ask for a stop at the Holocaust Memorial! We will go another day.
Notes for anyone with access needs:
The Sugarloaf Mountain cable car was set up well for accessibility, aside from a small gap between the platform and the cable car. There was an extensive network of lifts providing step-free access.
Christ the Redeemer was more challenging. There were steep inclines and broken-down escalators. Even worse, people on the small viewing platform repeatedly pushed my mother’s walker, and one woman even shouted at my mother to move it so she could take a photo.
Overall, it was a wonderful tour around Rio!

Well worth it
You’ll have to change your viator confirmation email/ticket into a voucher at the main ticket area of the cable car. It is chaotic and did take about 30 minutes to do…HOWEVER it is well worth it when you see how long the ques are to get onto the cable car for the peoepl who do not have skip the line. Thoroughly reccomend paying the extra, saving your feet and time by purchasing skip the line tickets.

Amazing Lifetime experience!
There were 3 of us and we felt safe and well-cared for. I had the best experience of us all- I was with Luis and he was fantastic! My husband and son were larger- around 200lbs and they felt restricted by the harness which impacted their experience a bit. I was nestled in the seat so just enjoyed the amazing views and it was the most amazing experience ever- I’d do it again and again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful experience
We asked for a morning trip and they kindly fit our schedule.
The team were super friendly and reassuring. We felt very safe throughout and the equiment was in good condition.
The flight itself was beautiful. The experience lasts about 90 minutes to two hours from meeting point to exit, at the same place.
I fully recommend.

Great introduction the Santa Teresa and Rio
Great tour for an introduction to Santa Teresa. The tour guides are super knowledgeable and informative. Moreover, tour guides who have an alacrity for capturing these moments on camera and working angles will always get a 10/10 from me! Well worth the money
