Joshua Tree National Park is like a fortress. When you are outside of it and looking at it, all you see are mountains. Created by the collision of the Pacific and North American tectonic plates, these mountains have a terrific variety of human history, plant and animal communities, micro-climates, and geologic processes. We'll travel roads both paved and dirt, on and off trails, and over rocks to understand the deeper contexts of this National Park. Our guides have chosen this work to stay close to what they love, a vast landscape that exists whether rain comes or not. We are education-forward and adventure-conscious.
