Ritz’s in Venice
It was worth every effort to do this. The quiet of the canals until you reach the grand canal are colorful and full of life. The tour guide was informative , patient and sincere. It was raining and we almost passed on it. As it was meant to be, the rain stopped and never returned. Incredible…

Selena was an excellent...
Selena was an excellent and very friendly tour guide. She ensured we had a great view of the Grand Canal and the glass blowing was great to see.

Fun!
It was fun! Enjoyed a short history tour and then a short gondola ride. The hardest part of the tour was finding the office it departed from.

Finding the meeting point...
Finding the meeting point was a bit tricky as we were provided with an address but there was no mention of the name of the tour office. I just popped in to ask if they knew where I needed to go and said I was at the right place. The gondola ride was nice and it was perfect weather!

Venice

  • Most Grand Canal gondola rides begin or end in St. Mark’s Square, home to St. Mark's Basilica (Basilica di San Marco) and Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale), and include a few picturesque minor canals along the way.

  • As one of the most popular destinations in Italy, Venice can get extremely crowded. To avoid a long wait at the motor launch, book your tour tickets in advance.

  • The palaces along the Grand Canal have architectural styles that span from the Byzantine to the Renaissance periods, and are best appreciated with an expert tour guide who can explain their history and importance.

  • Note that Venice and the Grand Canal feature a great number of bridges, many of which are not wheelchair accessible.
