What a fun and informative class! The staff were great. Making the empanadas and chupas was not hard with their help. It was also great fun to sip wine and snack on what we made while they showed us how to cooks steak and flan. The food was excellent, and we all came home with leftovers. We loved the small group cooking class. Everything was well planned and delicious. The meats and cheeses served with three wine selections were also nice. We learned about the different folds on the empanada that identify the ingredients and left with the recipes. Great time had by all!

What a WONDERFUL experience!! In one short hour, Veronica Rue somehow managed to teach my son and me (with 2 left feet!) how to do the 8 steps!! I was so sad we didn’t have more time, as she made me fall in love with tango. Once Was Not Enough....

When we found out we would visit Buenos Aires again after 7 years, we immediately sought out Pachamama for a repeat indoctrination to Argentinean cooking. It was that fun, instructive, and delicious. From hosting this cooking experience in his apartment in 2019 to the new dedicated storefront location in the quiet Las Canitas neighborhood of BA's Palermo district, it was quite a transformation. However, the expertise, flow, and efficiency of the class remained remarkable. Now with two assistants, Franco entertained us for three hours through a full four-course meal which we actually prepared for ourselves. Everyone participated in a meaningful way. Even with seemingly complicated dishes, one had the feeling that there was hope you could re-create each item in your own home. You will come away with pictures, recipes, and good friends from around the world. And you will not need to eat dinner....

Taste of Argentina

Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable about traditional food and customs of Argentina. We tasted very good vermouth and wine. Tastings that followed include traditional street food of chorizo in a bun, our choice of empanada fillings, a full asado meal with steak, salad, French fries and homemade crusty bread, and ended with very good ice cream. You will walk through the Palermo neighborhood which has interesting points of interest and you will not be hungry!

Long story short, this is a must-do in buenos Aires. Bertie and Aby are amazing hosts. Bertie was clearly knowledgeable about wine and made the tasting very accessible to someone like me who is not so knowledgeable. He explained the history and the geography of the wine regions, and why they were important to the overall taste and feel of the wine. He is very knowledgeable and a great teacher. Aby is an AMAZING chef. She made the most delicious tapas style foods that paired with each wine. They were some of the most delicious snacks we had here so far. She also explained the reasoning for why she made what she did and why it paired with the wines. She is incredible. Overall, cannot recommend this experience enough. It was an incredible experience and worth every penny.
