What are people saying about Reims

The perfect way to discover the real Champagne
We had a fantastic tour with Nicolas and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Champagne. Nicolas was a brilliant guide — personable, relaxed and incredibly knowledgeable. Having worked in the vineyards himself, he was able to bring the whole process of growing the grapes and producing Champagne to life with genuine first-hand insight. Travelling in the beautifully restored Ford GPW made the experience even more special. Restored by Nicolas’ father, the vehicle has its own fascinating connection to the region and its post-war history, which added another layer to Nicolas’ storytelling. One of the real highlights was being able to leave the main roads behind and travel along quiet vineyard tracks to some beautiful viewpoints. At times it genuinely felt as though we had the vineyards entirely to ourselves. The Champagne Nicolas provided for us to taste was also delicious and, importantly, had been deliberately chosen from a local producer rather than simply reaching for one of the famous big labels. One of the great pleasures of our time in Champagne was discovering the smaller, family-run houses which are so fundamental to the character, traditions and continued story of the region, and it was great that Nicolas shared that philosophy. More than anything, Nicolas was simply a pleasure to spend time with. The whole tour felt personal and unhurried rather than overly organised or touristy, and we came away with a much better understanding and appreciation of Champagne, its vineyards and the people behind it. A genuinely memorable experience and one of the highlights of our time in Champagne.

This tour was a HIGHLIGHT...
This tour was a HIGHLIGHT of our 3 week stay in France. Our tour guide, Ana, was THEE best! She is very kind and knowledgeable in her craft. She was able to answer all of our questions, even the very specific ones. The people we met at the wine houses were also very kind and welcomed us all in with eyes wide open. You don’t realize how much history is truly in the vineyards until you have someone break it down. I will definitely be back again 🫶🏾

An ideal Champagne experience
Our tour consisted of 7 guests plus our guide+driver, Radames. Our van was modern and clean. We were amazed at Radames' knowledge. He explained the geology of Champage, the history of the drink, and details about each place we visited. Those places were a combination of Champagne houses, famous buildings, and historic villages. Radames organized three Champagne house visits, including cellar tours. We went from a small, to a medium, to a medium-large producer to get a feel at each size. He had commentary at all places. He's apparently quite trusted -- he sometimes let us in and performed the tastings. Lunch was provided at a small cafe, and was quite good. Radames gave clear and detailed descriptions, since his is from the USA. Overall, well-organized and impeccably conducted. Definitely a tour and guide I would recommend.

In the heart of France’s Champagne region, Reims is a wine lover’s dream destination. It’s the perfect base for visiting multiple champagne houses, where you'll learn what it takes to make the famous bubbly and sip samples along the way. There are Reims tours of renowned labels like Veuve Clicquot and small family-run farms. You can also explore Reims on foot to see its 13th-century cathedral and Roman triumphal arch or head out of town to see the World War I battlefield at Verdun.
