Fantastic experience

Can’t say enough great things about this! The operators were phenomenal. They reached out to me the day before and asked when we were leaving Luxor they then let us know weather conditions for the day following our originally booked ride looked better so offered to switch us. The balloon and transport to/from the balloon were perfect and we felt safe the entire time. Everything went very smoothly but we did get back to the hotel a bit later than expected.

What a fantastic tour this is and that is largely thanks to our wonderful tour guide Wael. Through his excellent explanations and translation of hieroglyphics he brought the ancient world of the Pharoahs to life. He has such a wonderful manner that even my teenage daughters were fascinated by the tales such as Pharoah Hatshepsut's expedition to Punt and Ramsis III great piece of ancient propaganda at the Temple of Medinet Habu. Though a long day the time flew as we were dutifully guided from tomb to tomb and temple to temple. This has been one of our highlights from an incredible trip to Cairo and Luxor and undoubtedly thanks to Wael my family and I are keen to explore more. Lots of Learning

We had a great time with Peter, he planned our itinerary in a way that we were able to enjoy several of the sights without experiencing the excessive heat, and timed to avoid large crowds. This allowed us to take our time, walk around unbothered, and learn from him at a comfortable pace. He had a wealth of knowledge to share, was punctual, and attentive. Khaled was a fantastic...

Khaled was a fantastic guide! He really knows Egyptian history and explained everything in a very interesting and easy-to-understand way. His explanation of hieroglyphics was especially great. We visited the Valley of the Kings and many other attractions, including the Valley of the Workers, which was definitely a hidden gem. We would highly recommend adding it to the itinerary — it was one of our favorite parts of the tour. We also visited an alabaster workshop, which was a really nice experience. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything. They welcomed us with a complimentary drink, and we even got to try making a vase ourselves. As we were on our honeymoon, Khaled went the extra mile and surprised us with a very cute wedding gift — an alabaster plaque with our wedding date on it. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the experience even more special. Thank you, Khaled, for making our trip so memorable! We would definitely recommend him to anyone visiting Luxor. 10/10! 😊

Great for family traveling together

King Mena is the best! We got picked up from Aswan airport in the morning of Day 1, and then dropped off to Luxor airport at end of day 4. Everything was prompt, easy to follow. Due to the cruise schedule, some tours started very early, but often you would have some time later in the day for rest. It's a fun and informational 4 day trip. Our guide Mena is easygoing and knows Egyptian history like no others and will accommodate your needs. Highly recommended for family travelers.

Fantastic first hot air balloon ride in Luxor!

Pickup was super early via van and then ferry to cross the Nile. We waited for hours with hundreds of other travelers flying with many different companies. Good thing we scheduled our first morning in Luxor, as all flights were cancelled by the agency that regulates balloon rides. We were dropped off at a meeting point for our next tour of Valley of the Kings/Queens, rather than a returning back to our hotel. This was convenient. We did have the next day available, so we rebooked and hoped for the best. That night happened to be Egypt’s return to standard time, so clocks fell back and we were picked up an hour earlier. Same process as previous day… van, ferry across the Nile, wait hours in the dark while being pestered by vendors selling goods, mostly children. But this day the balloons went up. What a glorious sight to see the balloons inflate on the ground… have your camera ready We were given premium spots in the balloon because the workers recognized that we had returned a second day. (Most people around us the previous day couldn’t rebook, as they were leaving Luxor.) The flight was epic. It feels like nothing when you leave the ground and float through the air. We had great views of the sunrise, Valley of the Queens, and the other balloons. All went well with the flight and landing. Transfer back to our hotel was smooth. Highly recommend this experience!
