A Worthwhile Tour

This was a three hour tour of Alhambra and the Generalife (Gardens). Our tour guide was extraordinarily knowledgeable, and was a graduate archaeologist. Although the tour was expensive, we felt it was worth it. We got a lot more of the history and archeological details of how the various fortresses and palaces, as well as mosques/churches came to be than we would ever have gotten on our own.

Our guided tour of the Alhambra in Granada was an excellent experience. Our guide, Samantha, was very knowledgeable and kept the group engaged by asking questions throughout. She spoke through a transmitter and we listened via earpieces, which made it easy to follow along and felt a bit like an exciting school trip. We walked approximately 4.5 kilometers and also visited the Nasrid Palaces, so be prepared for plenty of walking and stair climbing. I highly recommend this tour and experience.
