Even Better the Second Time!!!!!

This is the second time we have done this tour - and it was just as extraordinary as it was 2 years ago (you can see my original review dated June 2024). We were very honored to have Joaquin as our guide again. He did such an amazing job on showing us around the Island. Excellent experience in Rapa Nui

The entire experience from pick up to drop off was AMAZING! Our guide Simon was extremely knowledgeable of the Rapa Nui culture as he is a direct descendant. Every question we asked, he answered, and clarified some of the theories. He took his time and made sure we were OK at every site. NOT rushed at all. The tour had lunch option included which was good. Highly recommend.

Moai and polynesian beauty!

We enjoyed seeing the various Moai, Anakena Beach, and the quarry; and did not feel too rushed. The tour ended up being about 6 hours and not 8-9 hours (unsure if it was because of our group size or what). Isabel (our guide) and Rafa (our driver) were great. Isabel is a Rapa Nuian and getting the history from her was special. Heads up to remember to bring a lunch and snacks as given where you are on the island, there aren't really any restaurants. So when it says "lunch not included" on the description, it doesn't just mean you're paying for yourself but to bring your own lunch.

A professional tour despite in the rain

Eva the lady guide speaks very good English and has been very patient. She and the driver looked after us well and made sure she explained in English to us and another Frence gentleman. Despite her forgot to bring drinking water, she spoke throughout the entire journey and was not stingy to share information whilst answering questions even in the rains. The whole tour was not eishoat all.

Highly recommended night experience

Highly recommend this experience on Rapa Nui. The Milky Way, zillions of stars, constellations, and galaxies are visible. We were taken to two locations on the island--one where we looked through telescopes and enjoyed hot chocolate and a snack, the other where the maoi were silhouetted by starlight and the ocean. Outstanding Experience.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience. We went out with just one other couple and Alice (owner) and her partner. The horse I rode was very responsive and well trained. Since everyone was pretty comfortable on horseback, we did some trotting and cantering. Getting to the highest point is a beautiful ride and once you’re there it’s amazing. It’s one of the few places on earth where you can do a 360 and see the curvature of the Earth everywhere. So, not recommended for flat-earthers. ;) Sunset from this vantage point is beautiful, especially if it’s a night like the one we went out on where there is some cloud cover, but not a lot. You can hike the trail on foot if you want, and we saw some people doing that, but nothing compares to doing it on horseback. Like anywhere in Chile, knowing some Spanish is helpful, but the owners at least have a working knowledge of English so you’re OK either way.

Great experience with the most important sites on the island

Very well structured and it includes the best sites on the island. only thing i would clarify a little bit - the second day with the visit at the caves is that you go in and it may not be suited for elderly people or with people with low mobility. but the rest of the visits are perfect as they are. You need to have the park entrance fee paid in advance in order to visit all the sites (can be booked online or on the spot at the tourism desk in the city center). Bring water and snacks as on spot there are no shops. And don't forget about sun screen with high SPF and mosquito repellent.

A great tour with the ability to adjust.

I highly recommend this tour - it was sensational. Having the private guide meant we could adjust as I wanted without worrying about anyone else. This meant I could see things that the other tours didnt. My guide, Isabel was very good - friendly, warm and knowledgable. Altogether, I thought the private tour was worth the premium of the mass tours.
