Oka was our tour guide and Lewis our driver. We had a wonderful day visiting the sites. She was a native of the island and was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history. The lunch was delicious.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day and saw everything we wanted to.
When you buy your island pass make sure you take the corresponding id or a photo as I had put on our passport details but took our driving licenses as id which were no good as they did not correspond to the info I had submitted. Fortunately we had photos of our passports on our phones and they sufficed.

Toke was excellent. We really enjoyed the day with him and he gave us a true sense of the island. I would recommend booking direct with the travel agency though as Viator was a disappointment.

Our private, all day tour of Rapa Nui was first class. Tais, our guide, was excellent! We saw all the main attractions...and more! Tais offered fascinating background and detail. Lunch was great...against a spectacular background! Highly recommended!

Grossly overpriced at us$320 per person. This Excludes the park entrance of another Us$80. Local tours were pricing at us$50 to us$80 per person. Would recommend booking local tours via Yr hotels.

Sebastián Paoa Á. is a consummate storyteller, historian, and guide. His passion and deep love for Rapa Nui is heartfelt and earnest. My friend Barbara McCrary and I were thoroughly entertained and educated by the breadth and depth of his knowledge. He always wanted to go deeper than a shallow explanation.
The history and mystery surrounding the moai were fascinating--especially the possible ways the moai were moved. The Birdman competition is unique, a captivating tale. The National Park is a national treasure and should be funded properly with an administrator focused solely on the proper maintenance and care of it. Rapa Nui has a rich history which is deftly described by Sebastián.
The volcanic crater and the beach were spectacular sights to visit. Sebastián not only provided detailed descriptions of all the attractions, but also knew exactly where to pose us with the moai statues for a once-in-a-lifetime photo. And the tuna steak lunch was delicious. My friend Barbara does not like fish, and she loved it!
Plus, I left my portable phone charger in Sebastián's car, and he called me twice the next morning before personally delivering it to my hotel. He is the best!!! This tour was definitely worth the price. You will NOT be disappointed.

We had a great experience on this tour seeing all the key Moay and ahu sights. We were met in the morning by a driver and our personal tour guide, Christina. Christina was great. She’s from Rapa Nui herself and is exceptionally knowledgeable having evidently spent a long time studying the history of the island and having deep routes here. She took the time to explain, the history, background, and possible theories for what might have been going on on the island hundreds and thousands of years ago. We couldn’t recommend her enough! It was certainly money well spent on this tour given the depth and breadth of knowledge which was shared with us.

Wow - what an amazing day. We were so blessed to have Hugo as our guide of Rapa Nui (Easter Island)! Hugo is native to the island and his great grandmother is the oldest living Elder on Rapa Nui today. The wealth of his knowledge is as deep and wide as the ocean that surrounds this incredibly magical place. It’s always been a dream to visit Rapa Nui and see the Moai in the flesh but nothing can prepare you for the experience of that dream coming true as the magnificent Moai tower over you and you stand before the statues that you’ve seen in books since childhood finally sharing the same physical time-space! Hugo knows his island home like the back of his hand and he enjoys to share his knowledge with an attentive ear. It was truly a privilege to spend the day with him soaking up the stories like a sponge. If you’re genuinely interested in the history and you want to learn from the source then book Hugo as your guide, we highly recommend him. The Tour Guide, Hugo, was an amazing guide! He was very courteous, professional, friendly, & knowledgeable! It was a private tour & I felt totally safe being a solo female. He seemed to really enjoy his profession & answered my many questions about the national park, culture, history, etc... On topics that there were no known facts, he gave possible theories. At one site, the Park Rangers wouldn't allow us in because the wind level was too high. Hugo offered to possibly have someone else bring me back to that site the next day at no extra charge. I thought that was definitely going above & beyond. It showed his true dedication to his profession & the passion for wanting to share his island's history with others.

This was a wonderful tour. Tokerau was an excellent guide. He has a passion for his Island. I had a private tour and Tokerau was happy to answer all of my questions throughout the day. He took it at a comfortable pace throughout the day. I added the sunrise tour along with the full day.

We were on a tight timeline and this seemed the simplelest way to see the essentials of Easter island and get a feel for the history and culture. Our guide Tacorau? Was enthusiastic and pleasant and we saw all the main sites, perhaps a little rushed at the oronga information centre. Nevertheless we enjoyed the experience.

We had an absolutely wonderful tour with Sebastian as our guide for the day. We were able to enjoy so much of your wonderful island and all the history because of him. He is such a great spokesperson for the people of Easter Island. We were able to enjoy all the sites in uncrowded situations as he timed everything perfectly.

The tour was incredible! A large part of that was due to our guide, Sebastian. He wove an intricate story about the history of the island, full of details and interesting tidbits. He dispelled internet myths, explained theories about how moai were moved, showed us pics on his kindle, and took fantastic photos of us! I can not exaggerate how much he added to the experience.
The sites were carefully chosen to tie the stories of Easter Island into a cohesive history. We were given ample time to eat lunch. The tour lasted from 9 until 5.
We really enjoyed the personal feel of the private tour. We could both hear easily, which would have been difficult with more people as it was quite windy. We asked all our questions, had photos taken in a timely manner, and made restroom stops when we wanted. It was well worth the money paid.
We would recommend this tour to anyone!
Bring a rain coat...an umbrella may not hold up against the wind!
