2 Hour Beach Horse Back Riding in Puerto Viejo

The tour begins with an introduction to the adventure park and a brief lesson on ziplining through the canopy. After the safety briefing, you will board a Jungle Bus that takes you to the top, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the tropical canopy, La Fortuna waterfall, Pino Blanco waterfall, and Arenal Volcano. There is a 15-minute hike accompanied by a highly trained guide. The guide will explain the area's significance and help you spot any wildlife along the way. Wow what a great time!

Ride was super great and I have to give credit to our quide Elliott. U want to see sloths? Done. Monkeys? Done. Learn about the flora? Done. He rubbed some leaves together and his hands turned blood red. Teakwood tree. He spots plants and animals like a local which he is. Our horses Turbo and Chapo, well trained.

The best of the best!

The horses are incredible and to be able to ride them on the beach during a sunset was truly an amazing experience. Diego is the man! He guided us through and treated us to good conversation and ice cold refreshment at the beach bar and we got served while on horse back. So cool. The horses are super healthy and well cared for and well trained. Diego also really knows how to get those perfect photos and videos. This experience is a must for anyone who wants to feel the beauty and joy that life has to offer here in Costa Rica.

Amazing tour with Jordan! My partner and I are both experienced riders and had the guide to ourselves! Jordan took us along the beach, in the back forest/mountain and took lots of pictures/videos for us. Horses are very well trained and very responsive. Happy sleepy horses

We had such a great experience. My daughter has never ridden a horse and was very nervous. But upon meeting her sleepy horse she relaxed a little. The guide was very patient with her and led her horse the whole way. He taught about some trees and plants along the way and took pictures down at the beach for us. He even pointed out the spot the crocodile likes to hang out. I was very happy with the experience and highly recommend checking them out.

Marlene was our tour guide and she was GREAT!!!! She was very knowledgeable, informative, conversational and patient. Her tours are private with just your group and you will not feel rushed. Amazing experience with a company that loves its horses.

We met Gustavo and his associate on the beach and had an amazing ride on a completely secluded section of the western Costa Rican beach. We rode about 30 minutes out, accompanied by the guide, who then took pictures for us in the beautiful scenery. We then rode back in the opposite direction and wrapped up a lovely ride after about an hour. The meeting location was hard to find, but we were in contact with the guide via WhatsApp and they helped us find the right location. We have all ridden before, but only occasionally, and the hour long ride was more than enough for us and our inexperienced backsides. Overall, it was an amazing experience with fantastic photos.

6 Star Experience

This was an amazing experience! I would give six stars if I could. The pickup from our hotel was dead simple and the driver was perfectly on time. Our two tour guides (Charlie and Dillon) were the nicest people. In fact, everyone involved was extremely friendly. The horse riding tour itself was breath taking. The horses were easy to ride, though each has their own personality, so getting to know your horse was important. Some parts of the trail required the horses to be nimble and slow and other parts allowed them to run. It was both uphill and downhill on rock trails and grass. The Zipline part was phenomenal! Oh my gosh the views!!! I have a fear of heights but had no issues doing this course. There's something about flying through trees securely in a harness that eliminated all fears. It was odd. I was nervous but after the first one had zero reservations. Charlie went above and beyond. One of our party members dropped their phone on the trail at some point. They didn't know they did until the end. Charlie went back out and found it rather quickly saving the day. The only thing to note is tips can only be made in cash. At least at the time of writing this. This was an A++++ experience all around. I'd highly recommend it.
