Our group of about 20 had an incredible experience with Mike & his team from Panama Experience Tours! His English is excellent and his knowledge as one of Panama’s top certified guides made the tour unforgettable. We saw amazing wildlife up close — even had monkeys jump right onto the boat! The short hike was easy, really more of a casual stroll, so we’re glad we didn’t skip this experience due to the tour name. The lunch was delicious & his team extreemly professional. Perfect Death in Paradise Experience but also the beautiful Botanical Gardens.

It was a great day. Olivier gave thought to the timing of each of our visits so we could get the most from each experience and miss the cruise crowds. There is some walking around the Botanical Gardens and also through the town to the police station and Catherine’s Bar We thoroughly enjoyed the walks. Olivier was a very enthusiastic guide on Death in Paradise. Whenever we stopped, he showed us scenes from the show to prompt our memories of where we were & what we were looking at. Olivier himself had been in the show as an extra and it was fun to hear his experience. The meal pre booked at Catherine’s Bar by Olivier was great. We sat comfortably and enjoyed our pre-booked meal when it was super busy and people were trying to sit at the tables. Olivier was more than happy to take photos at all the different stops which were fantastic photos. The Botanical Gardens were beautiful. The feeding of the fish was an experience - the fish go WILD as you throw the food in. The feeding of the parachets was an experience too. We didn’t feed the goats, we gave our feed to a family with multiple children. The actual gardens were so pretty. All the trees, flowers and water features like the waterfall, fountain & stream were so restful to listen to and so beautiful. This was a highly memorable day & we would definitely recommend to do it with Olivier and his company.

Must Do if visiting Panamá

Great learning experience about the Canal of Panama. The tour guide (José) was very knowledgeable and gave the information in Spanish and English. He also answered all questions asked. The scenary is really pretty, especially if sitting on the right side of the ship. Things to consider, use a good sunscreen and reapply as the sun can be brutal. A hand fan can be beneficial if staying at the top floor of the ship. Otherwise, the view can be appreciated on the 1st and 2nd floor with AC. If you have food limitations, reach out beforehand or bring your own snacks as the menu is set and might not accomodate any dietary restrictions.
