An Unforgettable Adventure from Costa Rica to Nicaragua

What an amazing day trip to Granada, Nicaragua from Costa Rica! The entire experience was well organized from start to finish. Crossing immigration was smooth, and the comfortable van made the long journey enjoyable. The boat ride on the huge lake was beautiful and relaxing, and visiting an active volcano was definitely a highlight of the trip. The scenery throughout the day was incredible. A special thank you to our driver, Alejandro Esquivel, who got us safely to every destination, and to our guides, Miguel and Shelly, who were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Their passion and professionalism really stood out. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience the beauty and culture of Nicaragua in a single day!

Fun Costa Rica Tour

Marlene was absolutely amazing! I had such a wonderful experience with her during my zip lining, hot springs, and horseback riding tour. It ended up being just the two of us, which made the entire day feel like such a personalized and special experience. She is so fun, personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about Costa Rica, its nature, and animals. I learned so much from her throughout the day! She also took incredible photos and videos of me, so I could fully enjoy every activity without worrying about capturing the moment myself. One of my favorite unexpected treats was learning about Costa Rican coffee beans, the different flavors, and the coffee-making process. Marlene made every part of the experience interesting and memorable. From the adventure and beautiful scenery to the animals, hot springs, horseback riding, and coffee experience, it was such a perfect day. Marlene truly made me feel like I was exploring Costa Rica with a friend. Lovely morning excursion

We enjoyed the morning excursion with Samara Adventures. The crew was friendly, fun and professional. I was worried about going out on the boat in the rainy season but it was a glorious sunny day. We saw dolphins and turtles but no whales. Apparently the water is still a little warm for the whales right now. Water was too murky for snorkeling but we enjoyed the refreshing swim.

Awesome afternoon on the water

We travelled during shoulder season and this was the best activity. The catamaran had a capacity of 75 and there were 20 of us onboard. The crew provided awesome service the entire time. Not only was it an open bar but they brought drinks right out to us on deck the whole time. The food was fantastic, not your typical excursion type food. The private beach was so neat. Calm water lots of fish during snorkeling even saw a pufferfish which I haven’t seen elsewhere yet. Overall, a great experience - 100% recommend.

Incredible experience!

If I could give this tour 10 stars, I would. Granted, we were very lucky and saw tons of whales, including a baby and her mama, the whole experience was just great. Sierra and here team were lovely and so informative. My favorite part was listening to the whales on the hydrophone, and we were even allowed to get into the water and swim and we could hear the whales singing under water. Truly bucket list experience. I went by myself and met lovely people on the tour and the crew was just so nice. They provided water and snacks and lunch which were very yummy. 10/10 recommend!

Pura Vida Snorkling and...

Pura Vida Snorkling and Fishing Adventures is a top notch tour provider. We originally booked only a private snorkeling tour and we had such a great time we decided to book a fishing tour for the next day. Frank was our English guide both days and he is a stud! He was conversational and taught us a lot about what we were seeing throughout both trips. On the snorkeling tour we saw a Ray, eel, parrot fish, sea urchin, Cornish, puffer fish, angel fish, yellow tang, octopus and so many other beautiful fish (bright blue, black and white striped) that I don’t know the names to. We weren’t as successful at fishing but we did catch 4 small tuna and another small fish and still had a great time. They worked hard to try and get us on the bigger fish. That’s why it’s called “fishing” and not “catching”. We were overall pleased with both experiences and would highly recommend this tour company to anyone visiting Costa Rica!

Excellent Private Costa Rican Adventure

My wife and I had an amazing day at sea with Clem and his team. We were able to snorkel at a more remote spot and even got to see a small reef shark while walking on the beach. The food and service on board was so fresh with everything made from scratch by Michelle including ceviche that was caught that day and a scratch made pizza! The sunset was one of the best we have ever experienced. We definitely recommend this excursion for anyone looking for a private Costa Rican adventure.

An Experience not to be missed

I can see why this is a must do excursion for Monte Verde. Well organized and great team of staff who accompany you through the zip lines. Lovely views of the cloud forest while zipping along. Tarzan swing was a huge hit for the brave people in our group. If Tarzan swing was too tame for you, you can pay for the Superman position on the last zipline. The Hanging Bridges were opportunity to see the cloud forest from a closer distance. Even saw a howler monkey on one of the bridges. We think he enjoyed being the center of attention. It’s an experience that we would all do again.

Staff is kind, friendly,...

Staff is kind, friendly, professional, and patient. I personally struggled with a class due to my nerves and anxiety. However, the staff was very patient with me even with extra time to help me get comfortable enough to dive. Personally, I was unable to do the activity, but I would recommend this to anyone that wants to try scuba. This is a great place to learn mainly because of how patient thorough and understanding the staff is. Big thanks to Ramon for spending extra time in the water with me trying to help me get comfortable with the activity and equipment!

This is a must

Our experience was unbelievable. Everything was five star. We saw a pod of dolphins that had a Mom and baby dolphin. We were able to see humpback whales. My 12-year-old loved going off the slide of the boat to snorkel. The snorkeling isn’t the greatest but that didn’t bother anyone. Our group was lucky enough that we had wonderful people also on the tour with us that we’ve befriended. The pick up spot was easy to find. Even where we launched the boat on Playa Carrillo, there was great tide pools for my son to explore great shells and sea glass we found. All the tour guides were great, very informative and helpful. They gave us fresh fruit at the end. They gave water and juice. Bring a hat bring your camera bring sunglasses and a rash card and lots of sunscreen.
