She made sure you had your passport ready and she also had all our QR codes ready during the security checks to make entering Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square so much easier. Everywhere we went., Julia told us facts and explain so much of the history and importance of the relics/buildings in Forbidden City. Incredible experience and worth every penny. The tour guide was called Keith who was brilliant. He educated us, gave us space to explore and brought humour to the tour. The lunch was really good. Definitely do The great Wall early as the crowds build quickly. We came down at 11am to find the queue to go up was 2hours long. We had no queue.

Melodie made the day! Great Wall, great tour!

We had an excellent time! We booked a private tour - the operator communicated well beforehand and our guide Melodie was very informative and accommodating. We decided to take the cable car up to save on time and arrived on the wall at watchtower 14. We are an active family of 5 with 3 teenagers who saw hiking all the way to watchtower 1 (a steep climb toward the end!) and then back to 14 as a fun challenge. Melodie accommodated our idea and made sure we had fun along the way. She offered us a lot of historical context during the drive from Beijing and along the hike. Melodie spoke excellent English and encouraged our kids- who are learning Chinese- to practice speaking and reading as well.

Great Tour!

This was such a fun tour! Our tour guide was Helen and she did a great job leading us and giving us the history of each landmark. To get into Tian’anmen Square and the Forbidden City, there were a lot of security checks, and Helen made the process simple and easy to understand. We had a great private tour to the terracotta warriors. From Beijing . The tour was well organized, as we were transported from our hotel to the train station. Once we arrived in Xian our tour guide, Angela, was waiting for us at the station and led us to our driver. Angela was very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. She recommended a restaurant where we had Biangbiang noodles that were delicious. Highly recommended tour and highly recommended tour guide.

My family and I had a wonderful time with Erica. This is my son’s first trip to china and Beijing is our first stop. Erica was very thoughtful and had planned for everything. Even including small things like bug spray. She was also very knowledgeable about the sites and tailored it for my 16 years old son. The car was impeccably clean, fully stocked with water. The two lunches were delicious (I have been to Beijing for work many times, and still think they picked two fantastic restaurants for us). We basically didn’t need to think or plan at all. We got picked up from the hotel and Erica took care of everything. Amazing experience overall.

Great experience

Maggie was a fantastic tour guide! She was incredibly nice and shared a lot of information about the history of the Great Wall, Beijing, and China throughout the day. I highly recommend getting there as early as possible to beat the crowds and to enjoy the views in peace. Taking the toboggan down was so much fun. After the Wall, we were taken to a tea ceremony, which was a good cultural experience, though it is worth noting that the shop staff can be very persistent with their sales pitches after the ceremony.

Fantastic Tour with Excellent Guides & Driver

David was an amazing tour guide and person while touring the city sites of Beijing. He led us to the different areas providing us the background. He also took us shopping to a mall before taking us to see the wonderful acrobatic show (a must). He ensured the driver was waiting for us outside the theater to take us to our hotel. We accidentally left a piece of carry-on on the plane and had to deal with various areas at the airport (eventually lost & found). David contacted the Beijing Airport Lost and Found Department and helped locate our baggage and had it shipped to our hotel. He continually monitored the situation to ensure we received it. Unbelievable service and caring! Keith was a great guide showing us the Great Wall, Summer Palace and stadium. He provided us with a concise explanation of the various sites as he led us through them. We had excellent Chinese lunches both days. A great tour led by wonderful guides gave us a memorable experience. You cannot go wrong with this tour.

True Wonders of the World

‘Rocky’ was our guide and we could not have had a more knowledgeable, polite, and supportive person. This was the best excursion of our entire China experience that we had several in different cities. The Forbidden City and Great Wall are true Wonders of the World and all the history and info he provided made them even more ‘true to life’ and amazing as we actually viewed and experienced them. We could only see Tiananmen Square and not enter it because it was closed for dignitaries that were visiting. This was Ok as we could better see the buildings and immense ground area it covered. As far as the Forbidden City and Great Wall goes, Rocky was very well organized, kept the participants in the group, and was very patient while answering questions and waiting on some of the slower ones. The Great Wall is simply almost indescribable. One must actually see its immense size and the type terrain it is built on to begin to appreciate it and the effort it took to build. Nothing else on earth comes close to its immense size and length. The tour itself was great in all aspects. The lunch provided a good variety of tasty food. I should note that my husband experienced a pinched nerve in his back while in the Forbidden City and he could not have made it through without Rocky and others physically helping at times. He was so kind and understanding and I can not express how much we appreciated his effort and concern.
