Didn't get to take the tour!

We didn't get to take the tour because the basilica was closed. Our tour was for 9:30 am and the church did not open until 12 pm. We were not going to wait around for 2 1/2 hours or come back. Very disappointed. The local tour company should have known the hours the basilica was open. We would like a refund.

Fascinating churches, excellent guide

Fascinating visit to San Clemente to see not only the “modern” basilica but two other churches buried beneath it that have been excavated over the last two hundred years. Our guide Fabio provided excellent and detailed information on each level of the basilica.Then we visited the Monache Agostiniane Santi Quattro Coronati and San Giovanni in Laterano. Fabio’s extensive knowledge and fluent English made this one of the most interesting tours we’ve ever taken while in Rome. Highly recommend it.
