The class was in a restaurant. We made the gnocchi from a pre-boiled and cooled potato, but the cooking was done by someone else.

Enjoyable.
Our tour guide was awesome and the historical and archeological facts she provided made this tour very good. The food was "ok" except the pasta dishes they were amazing. Very glad we did this and saw a really cool slice of Rome.

Highly Recommended
Emanuele was great and explained all the steps to making our own pizzas. He shared the difference in Roman pizza and Neapolitan Pizza differ as we have Italian wood fired pizza oven at home. We had 8 in our class. We got to choose up to 3 topping from a list of 5. It was a fun time and great experience.

Our guide was very good. We were very disappointed that we were unable to go inside the Pantheon which was one of the reasons that we chose this tour. Our tour met at 9:30 am on Sunday morning on October 18th, 2026. If visits are paused until 12:00 PM every Sunday, then our entry inside the Pantheon should not have been on the itinerary. We should not have been charged for entry into the Pantheon or we should have been given an entry ticket for another time.

Piazza Navona
  • The pedestrian-only square is crowded with street performers, so it’s a nice break for families with young kids.

  • If you’re joining a walking or bike tour of Rome and Piazza Navona, wear comfortable shoes and a sun hat.

  • Piazza Navona is easy to navigate with a wheelchair or stroller, though the cobblestones make the terrain a bit bumpy.

  • There are plenty of cafés and gelato shops in or near the square, making it the perfect spot for a pick-me-up.
