Get this trip booked!
If you get chance to do this trip please do it. It's a full day trip but worth it. We went up into the mountains, tasted cheese and drank vodka. Went in a cable car to see magnificent views! And so much more!
This trip was made so much better by our lovely guide, Milos, he was so informative and certainly knew his stuff! Such a lovely man and a credit to your company! Would not hesitate to book this again next time we come here

Everything about this was...
Everything about this was terrific. Pre-trip communication was excellent, timely and complete details each step of the way. Driver was exactly on time, and kept us informed. Tour guide was great. Also, got the lunchbox which was terrific and a great value.

Cracking Krakow trip to Auschwitz.
A great trip, picked up at hotel on time, a very informative and interesting guided tour. Nice small group,we never felt rushed. Would recommend this tour of Auschwitz, just the right amount of information and time to digest what had been said and take on board. Our guide Chris was brilliant.

Brilliant day.
Firstly we had a great guide and driver, Magda.
Full day but all the stops were interesting and good fun.
We had great weather but on the way home the weather changed and the mountains were covered in cloud, the views are stunning so consider the weather forecast before you book. I am sure the review wouldn't be as good.

Thoughtfully Organised, Deeply Moving Tour
We had an excellent guided tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau. The entire experience was very well organised from start to finish. Adam was professional, and made the journey comfortable and stress-free. The guide was outstanding – knowledgeable, respectful, and able to explain the historical significance of the site in a clear and engaging way. It was a moving and educational experience, and I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

Yes, worth it!
Excellent tours! Tour operator sent extremely detailed information for meeting in the morning, map, description of the bus with plate number, even a picture of the meeting spot so we knew exactly what to look for. Tour guide was friendly and helpful, the extra lunch was very good and worth the extra money on the day, large sandwich, water, a couple pieces of fruit and a sweet treat. The tour of the salt mine was fascinating and not to miss, and Auschwitz/Birkenau are what you would expect and more, solemn, upsetting but so very important to learn about and visit.

A tour organised by a real professional tour operator.
Although I have vowed never to use viator again after they have let us down with a scam operator (comfort tours cracow) this tour provided by cracow top tours was fantastic. The tour guide was superb, very knowledgeable, very accommodating and friendly. The tour was planned out superbly with enough time to take stuff in, we wasn't rushed and it just felt like we were getting exactly what we had paid for. It was that good we are actually looking at planning a short break to Zakopane at a later date. So well done and thankyou for such a wonderful tour. When we return I will just go straight through this company and skip Viator

Highly recommend Tomasz!
Tomasz picked us up from our airport hotel as arranged and was a wealth of knowledge. He made sure we all arrived on time and came with us through the gates to make sure we were in the right spot. Explained which bus and where to go to have the best experience possible. Highly recommend Tomasz as a tour guide for this experience. Time was tight between tours so he offered a lunch option, which i highly recommend. It was a great deal and had great options!

It's a LOOONG day, even longer if your group is not punctual
We loved our experience with Bart going to the Salt Mine first (2-2.5 hr tour) and then driving to Auschwitz (which took 1 hr 20 min), and then the combined Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour (4-4.5 hrs). All the English guides were informative, passionate about their respective topic, and open to answering additional questions. They were great about keeping a good pace, but keep in mind it might be intense for those who are not used to walking for long periods of time. I clocked about 20,000 steps between the 2 tours.
Sadly, due to waiting on people in the group, our break between the 2 tours was cut short and we only had 40 minutes to eat a quick lunch. The restaurant is the one on site at the Auschwitz 1 Memorial which has tourist prices ($25 USD for lunch, no beverage).
The tours are a bit longer, but it helps you appreciate the importance of each site and the history. I can't imagine having walked through any of those without a guide as it wouldn't have done it justice. I'd recommend for anyone who enjoys an educational experience while getting in some good steps.

An excellent but thought-provoking tour
If you are short of time in Krakow, this is the tour to do to cover two of the most important sites near this beautiful city. But be warned: this is a long day (about 11 hours) and involves a huge amount of walking, including hundreds of steps into the salt mine. If you are a slow walker or have other mobility issues, you need to be aware of this and possibly visit each site separately and on different days to give yourself a bit of a break.
Visiting Auschwitz is harrowing, but very important to acknowledge and reflect on one of the darkest times of our modern history. The guided tour is in great detail and fully explains the workings of the death camp. Most of Auschwitz 1 is intact so you really appreciate how it operated. It is poignant and sad, and few people on my tour spoke at all during the three hours of touring. Auschwitz 2 - Birkenau is mostly not intact, but the remains still enable you to understand the enormity of the Nazi death machine. So professionally and respectfully conducted by their guides.
The salt mines which are more than an hour's drive from Auschwitz, are quite staggering in their size and beauty. Again, a professionally and well conducted through the mines, but hundreds of steps and lots and lots of walking along paths which are smooth and not rough.
The lunch option is a good one to take and the hotel pick-up and return invaluable due to the early start and the late finish.
An excellent tour that brings with it the full range of emotions, but one I would highly recommend.

Stairs were down. Site was beautiful.
The mine was educational, artistic, and beautiful. All but approximately 10 steps were going down. The floors were not slick. However, it definitely is a lot of walking. The guide was very good. It was great getting picked up in front of our hotel. The driver was very nice.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Well-connected by road and public transport, Krakow is a perfect launch point for discovering other towns and cities in Poland. While you could set out on your own, booking an excursion that takes you around the country will help relieve the stress of planning. Day trips from Krakow include World War II-related sites—such as a former Nazi-operated concentration camp—and a UNESCO World Heritage-listed salt mine. It’s also possible to discover outstanding mountain scenery with a visit to the resort town of Zakopane in the Polish countryside, followed by a soak in the healing waters of a thermal bath complex.
