This was a BLAST! My face hurt at the end of the trip because I was laughing and smiling SO much! The roads can be a bit bumpy but that just adds to the adventure. Speedy little cars with super responsive steering. People stopped to watch and wave at us. As my travel buddy said, "Everyone wants to do this but most are too chicken to try it." Loved the tour, it's a definite must do in Berlin.

Leo wasn't able to do the tour, so he had Yakup fill in, and he was great. He shared a ton of details about Berlin including what it was like growing up in East Berlin and being 18 when the wall came down. I loved that I could do the tour by myself so we could customize it as I saw fit, and they only charged 20 euro to do a pick up outside of the normal zone. Much cheaper than ubers. Highly recommend this tour!

To see so much

We had a great tour with Dimitri. It was a long walk but we saw so much more than if we had tried it ourselves. Dimitri had lots of information and photographs for reference. He knew important shortcuts so we were able to see more. We stopped to rest several times and cafes and drinks were available along the way. We were a bit late arriving but Dimitri waited for us. It was worth the money.

For those unfamiliar, the Trabant was the car made for the people of East Germany during the period of communist rule there. Great trip to Berlin! The busses were right outside the terminal where we docked. Departed on time and it was a smooth, comfortable ride to Berlin. Plenty of bathroom breaks. We arrived back to port an hour before departure. Anne was an amazing guide and made the long journey fun and engaging. Great history lesson! Plenty of time for lunch on your own and shopping.

A Tour Planned for Us

We had a driver and guide for this private tour. They took us to see all of the sights in Berlin that we wanted to see in a relatively short period of time. We wanted to buy some souvenirs at a particular store and they planned a route that would take us there as well. We weren't rushed trying to see things and the guide was happy to take pictures of us. He knew a lot of facts about so many of the sites in the city and we really learned a lot from him. They dropped us off at a restaurant that we wanted to have a late lunch at the end of the tour. We really enjoyed doing this tour since it was planned to meet our criteria. They also catered to the fact that my husband and I couldn't do a lot of walking.
