Beautiful view of the bay

Took the 10:00 am tour at the end of May. Is a tour were you have to be patience. We saw two humpbacks whales in the first 20 minutes of the tour. Then, we had a long ride to the other side of the bay without any luck. Because of the wind I wasn’t able to hear the tour guide’s whale information. On the way back we were given hot chocolate and a cookie. Then, we saw another whale. In addition, they provide a waterproof suit to wear over your warm clothes.

We had a fantastic experience! The weather was great (1pm) but a bit chilly, as expected. We saw a lot of humpbacks and a minke. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!

We saw humpback whales!

It was such a great adventure and we managed to see humpback whales! The sea was very choppy this morning and some of the guests had very bad seasickness but nevertheless the guides were very professional and constantly looking after us. The guide was also very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the sea life in Iceland from him.

This excursion is well...

This excursion is well organized. Nice lady to help you with preparing for the trip, Thermo overall and safety vest. Mario was our guide on the tour, educated on Maritime Biolife. Wauw, the RIB boat went pretty fast but still feeling safe all the time. We went to puffins island where 100.000 puffins are nesting. You see them everywhere but you need a real good camera to try to get a good picture. Later we saw several whales, what a beatifull animals there are. Very recommendable!!!! thanks

Pack warm clothes when visiting Húsavík—it can be cold out on the water even in the summer months, and temperatures tend to drop at night.
Húsavík is small enough to get around on foot, but it’s best to have your own transport or to join a tour if you want to explore further afield.
Most of Husavik’s attractions are accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. Some boat cruises are also accessible, but it’s best to check ahead.
