City tour
The tour was in a quality maxi bus, the guide was very informative through out the tour. We started at the water front with the modern office buildings & museum, working our way around the extensive front before climbing up to a look-out above the city. Then we took the ride up the funnicular railway, before walking through the gardens to the waterfront.

Unique Rural New Zealand Experience
This was a really unique experience to see some of New Zealand's rural areas and coastline. We stopped at a botanical garden, which was beautiful (wish we had more time there). The drive out into the country kept getting more interesting as we entered Terawhiti Station. The roads got steeper and more treacherous (but we felt safe). The expansive views were stunning across the farmland and out to the ocean. We finally reached the ocean and spent some time observing the fur seal colony before heading back to Wellington.

Fantastic Tour
This was an incredible experience! I loved that this all day tour included constant fun facts and information not just about Lord of the Rings, but also about Wellington and New Zealand. My tour guide was enthusiastic the entire time and welcoming to everyone. He made sure that we had enough time to take as many photos as we wanted and even helped us recreated different scenes from the movies. The Weta Workshop experience was fantastic. It focused on Lord of the Rings, but also shared about other movies that Weta has worked on. I learned so much. I loved that this tour was accessible to solo travelers and offered pick-up and drop-off at our housing accommodations. I absolutely loved this experience!!

Lovely city and lovely guide!
We loved our tour, it was a lovely and comfortable way to see the city. Our guide, Athena, was the highlight! Such a kind and knowledgeable lady, she was so friendly! She took us to a lovely out of the way cafe for lunch which was absolutely delicious! The other hightlight was our travelling companions, in particular a hilarious American chap and his ongoing epic battle with the van seatbelt, he had my friend and I in stitches!
